Rule for Amp installation.

1. Never Run RCA and Power Wire together or lesser then 30cm togther.!!!

When reving engine will cause Magnetic field around the power cable and the RCA pick that up and amplify thru your speakers.

(try run Power on driver side and RCA on pessenger side)

2. Must have a good Earth.

3. Try use good RCA atleast double shields of tripple shields cable( the better and cleaner Signal ...the better the sound will be)

4.Avoid chinese Amps...lol

I second this and then multiply it by a million!

A good idea is to run your RCA and remote cables/wire down one side of the car, and the power wire down the other, underneath the kickboards say and through the parcel shelf into the boot (depends where you have your amp)

Covered the RCA routing bit as best as possible on my ride. Unless Cadence RCA leads are crap I can't do any more there.

Besides that I get feedback through the speakers from the amp with the RCA's disconnected! I tried this with more than 1 amp, hanging the thing away from everything just about outside the car. So I've definantely got a direct issue with the power lines to the amp. Was looking at the Jaycar filters, though their current rating isn't real high. May give that a go.

hi..

i have installed full system include dodgy ebay double din dvd player.

the guy installed my system said "there is not enough power so you will be hear engine noise"

and i asked if you have any solution.. than he said if he put higher voltage filters on red and black line (ignition i believe) you wont hear any engine noise. if you still hear it, its deck problem....

he checked it and i can still hear engine noise.. so i took the filter out.

is there any other solution which can rid of engine noise on speaker while engine is running?

i have rockford 4ch 1000watt amp, one 12 rockford sub, speakers and dodgy dvd player

what can i do?

cheers

paul

I have a similar problem. Had my system installed by a prof, as I don't know much abt it.

I have that ebay double din dvd player, Pioneer 6" splits and 6.5" rear speakers.

I don't even run an amp or sub. I still get engine buzzing noise from my splits with revs.

The guy who installed the system blames everything on the head unit, could this be problem of head unit ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Bhushan.

    • Thanks Mate, I did know you could do that but i know there is a pump out there that you can bolt on and it all lines up. I was told about it and then forgot the model, I figure if i am pulling it apart i will just put a new one on
    • You can also remove the veins from the HICAS portion of your existing pump.
    • Trying to swap the rear subframe on my R34 and can't remove the L-shaped stay brackets between the front subframe mounts and the sill/chassis. I'm in the UK so rust is a problem. I've used loads of WD40 and then Tunap 103 for days beforehand. I backed off the bolts forward a bit, backward a bit repeatedly for ages to try and avoid snapping. They have all moved a few full turns. The one I've spent most time on has come loose and I can turn with fingers, and it will pull down and push up 2-3mm. But it won't come out. I can tighten it back up and loosen it off again repeatedly but it still won't come out. I assumed there's a captive nut inside but if that's broken loose then I can't understand why I can always tighten the bolt back up - I'd expect it to just spin both ways. Any ideas what's happening here? I can't visualise what's inside there to cause this.
