yep I have an immobiliser, alarm, shock sensor, etc... so they wouldn't have got far if they had actually opened the door...

I was parked near cafe primo... just near the padestrian crossing just outside the main door... off to the right a bit... I could easily see my car from the cafe and there weren't that many cars in the park either.

the only reason we took the skyline tonight was cos i was parked in front of the gf's car...

:P b4st4rds!

I had my new 'S' Silvia front badge stolen right out the front of TTP (front row near the pedestrian crossing) in BROAD daylight .... stopped 20 minutes for lunch, came out it was gone .... there were youngsters everywhere out the front and they must've seen who did it. It must have been one of them that took it :D

I disagree - it looks like they had no idea what they were doing .... they must have made HEAPS of noise and taken plenty of time to do that sort of damage!

I had a 'Millenium' style pager installed in my car the other week .... as soon as someone as much as touches the car (shock sensor is set VERY light) the pager goes off in my pocket vibrating and flashing. Nice peace of mind anyhow!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune dude .... I reckon we need to put a GTR out there one night and hide in the shadows then kick the living sh1t out of any bastards that go near it!

sorry to see they did so much damage, theres an easy way of getting into skylines without doing any damage, theifs have brocken into mine twice, the first time they took my gauges, and the second time nothing, ive got an alarm on it, so they must of just ripped out the gauges and run, ****wits, atleast they new what they wer doing and didnt **** my door,

i had mine broke into last week at modbury hospital.

muthaf&^ers used a crowbar to rip the handle off similar to yours boosted...... except i went back the next day to find the handle thrown over the fence.

not a very nice feeling to come back and see you door wide open.

just lucky the car was still there, and nothing was missing.

lucky aswell that i didnt catch the pricks mid act, otherwise i would be in yatla as we speak on multiple assault charges.

as a result, when once i would stop and think where i park the car....... i'm just not going to park it anymore.

hows the damage lookn pawley? did they **** your paint up bigtime too?

I dont park my car anymore...not even at the bay, just for the sake of it. Havin a nice expensive stereo thats taken me ages to save for, only to be stolen, will result in a very unimpressed car owner... not my piece of cake..

the door is pretty bad. was thinking it might even be a matter requiring a new door. all the metal surrounding the handle got torn. im yet to get to a crash repairer to see if i can avoid having to replace the door.

for those that are interested, the door handles on gtr's and gts's are the same!

so the speakers are working Timmmayy??? :P

    • Has equal chance of cleaning an AFM and f**king an AFM. I think you can work out what happened. When the Hitachi ECU sees the AFM die and goes into the associated limp mode, then it will start and run just fine, because it ignores the AFM and just runs on idle maps that will do what it needs to get it going. But there is no proper load signal, so that's about all it can do. My suggestion? If you don't want to go full aftermaket ECU, then get some R35 GTR AFM cards and some housings to put them in, in the stock location, and Nistune the ECU. Better to do a good upgrade than just replace shitty 40 year old tech with the same 40 year old tech.
    • So my car was recently having trouble starting on initial crank, I would need to feather the gas for it to start up but besides that it would start and run fine. So I clicked the idle air control valve (with throttle body cleaner) and cleaned the MAF sensors (with MAF cleaner). The start up issue was fixed and now the car turns over without the assist of the throttle, but the car is in limp mode and wont rev past 2.5k RPM. From what I understand the IACV would not put the car in limp mode, so I am to believe it is the MAF sensors, but it was running fine before and now I cant get it out of limp mode. I cleaned the MAF made sure the o rings were seated properly. Made sure the cables were plugged in properly, the cables also both read the same voltage. Does anybody know why this is or what could be causing this or how to get it out of limp mode?
    • Ooo I might actually come and bring the kids, however will leave the shit box home and take the daily
    • Thanks. Yeah I realised that there's no way I'd be able to cover the holes with the filler, it would just fall through. Thanks again @GTSBoy!
    • That was the reason I asked. If you were going to be fully bodge spec, then that type of filler is the extreme bodge way to fill a large gap. But seeing as you're going to use glass sheet, I would only use that fibre reinforced filler if there are places that need a "bit more" after you've finished laying in the sheet. Which, ideally, you wouldn't. You might use a blob of it underneath the sheet, if you need to provide some support from under to keep the level of your sheet repair up as high as it needs to be, to minimise the amount of filler you need on top. Even though you're going bodge spec here, using glass instead of metal, the same rules apply wrt not having half inch deep filler on the top of the repair. Thick filler always ends up shitting the bed earlier than thin filler.
