Hay kids!

I moved to bathurst at the beggining of the year and well.. it gets kinda boring sometimes..

Is anyone in bathurst or surrounding areas:

Orange

Lithgow

Mudgee

etc.

etc.

It seems like every week there is one more skyline in Bathurst.. so lets get together.. go for a drive sometime..

anyone interested?

Cris

they dont take kindly to my types up there. i go to katoomba now and then for a cruise and check out the mountains, they dont like the skyline, and they look at me funny. its a good drive though love cruising up there.

I go up there a bit to stay at a mates place, but we just get on the cans and dont cruise, next time though i'll let ya know!

I'll be up first weekend of december for speed weekend!

Yeah.. its such a shame though!

Theres at least 5 33's..

a 4 door 32

a 32 GTR

2 34's

and a STAGGY!

Would make for a good cruise size..

I'm in Orange. There's a sh1tload of 33's here but I've never seen any of them on the forum (I dont spend much time here myself any more).

If you want to hookup with a pair of '31s let me know, hey their still skylines :(

Hey mate i'm from Bathurst, drive the gun metal grey 33 that gets around

if you organise somethin on a sunday in the next few months i can talk to the rest of the boys in town with skylines silvias 180's and more

Nah...

1 has a stagea and a rally car

Other had a cammed VU SS ute and now has a lightly modded VE SS

Would that be ian with the stagea and rally car???? He's got a gt4 now instead of the stagea.

By the way you going in the supersprint up the mount in december? i think spaces will fill up quick this year so get in fast

Ah yes!

I caught up with Ian couple weeks back!

He sold the Stagea to his mum and he got the GT4 at a bargain price!

and yep, Im keeping an eye on the BLCC website cause ive got the whole weeked off this time and doing the Hillclimb on the sunday! I am SO not missing out hahahah

Hopefully get some more SAU members up there also!

Just want to add my 2cents worth..............

If everone from Bathurst way was to cruise to some part of western syd or vise-versa and meet some sort of contingent group of Skylines maybe have a BBQ or lunch of sorts, then us Sydney folk would cruise back to Bathust with you all, meet again chat and mingle for a little bit then you can have a short trip home and we can head back over the mountians!

What's everybody think?

    • Possibly avoid using a Cometic one unless the deck/head surface are perfectly flat. I did have a look just then and forgiving gaskets such as Tomei or Nitto don't exist for the FJ20, however the Bar-Tek or Kameari ones look good and might do the trick.
    • Because pipe threads for pipe things. M threads for bolt things. Throw some teflon sealant onto it and dust your hands off knowing you did the right thing, instead of going twice around the block to achieve a result using the wrong things. Of course, all of these solutions are ignoring the fact that the minimum thread pitch we're talking about here is 1.25mm, with the 1/4" in NPT or BPS being out around 1.4mm. You will need to know that the boss you're tapping has enough thickness for at least a few threads. That's one of the reasons that 1/8" is commonly used - because the pitch is <1mm. And why would you look to use 1/4" NPT in a BSP country anyway? Ugh.
    • Just throwing around ideas, does it need to be in the compressor cover? Why not the hot side piping?
    • 1/8NPT drill size = 8.7mm. Since the hole got messed up by me, it’s probably around 9mm.    So 1/4” NPT would be next step. A drill size of around 11mm would be preferred there which is not way of my M12 (drill 10.5mm and tap M12 threads)
