hey guys,

i have had my gtr sitting for about a year and went to start her yesterday and she doesnt want to kick over??

anyways i checked everything out and 4 out of 6 of the coil packs were sitting in water (down where the plug is), looks like it has been sitting there a while too. so i got all the cr@p out and fixed that up.

also, the fuel has turned to varnish.. i took the filter out on the pump side to find out if i have any pressure. i turned the key and some fuel came out but not that much and then after about 4 seconds it started dripping like it was clogged? i turned it off and then back on and there was nothing still? waited 30seconds and redid it and pressure and then it died again!

im wondering if the pump is dead, causing it not to crank over? or could it be the spark plugs.. new iridums.

ok, injectors were fully flow tested and cleaned today, they were fully blocked..

still.. she is not cranking over, put some aerostart in the vac lines and she wanted to start but couldnt..

i am begining to think its the CAS. it might be stuffed or seomthing??? i dont believe i am getting any power to the injectors.

either that or the ECU is stuffed!

i need some advice here!!!!!!!!!

It may have fouled plugs, pull one out and see if there wet with fuel.

so i take it you're sure the injectors are firing properly now? maybe pull them out and take the cas off and give it a spin too verify that they are properly working..

after having the coil packs sitting in water for so long perhaps the springs that sit inbetween the bottom of the coil pack and the spark plug have become corroded, try checking them out :D

U need to remove an injector plug from the top of one of the injectors and insert a noid light in the plug.

If u are getting a signal from the ecu the light will flash, meaning if u have spark like u say its not likely

the ecu. Next step would be to check compression.

U may be able to purchase a noid light from repco etc or borrow one from your mechanic.

Good luck

Mate trhis may sound silly but have you changed the fuel filter since you said it was blocked? If you really wana know, pull out your injectors, crank the car & see if they spray fuel. Maybe even one will do... Do the same with your plugs if you havent already

    • Yes, I know🙄 but the sequential is not in my budget... don't want to reduce power neither, so looks like I'm stuck in the rabbit hole🤣
    • You’ll be very upset when you bust that too not to mention the gearing totally sucks. Don’t do it.

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
