Nismodified
oooo the options =D i propose we tried and do some more research before committing to any particular brand in the end though, i do believe we will all benefit immensly. _turtle_
i think we have to take it to an exhaust place for fitting. but for tuning take it to BMT, i heard dr_drift does a good job. i plan to take the car to him. Greg
Hey guys, Just a bit of an update: the exchange rate was slightly better than expected (budgeted for 1.1000 and received 1.1135) but the transfer fee was slightly more (budgeted for $20 and payed $28). They pretty much even each other out, but I ended up making a huge profit of $8 I had to pay for an extra set myself to make up the numbers, so if anyone (prefereably in melb) wants to buy it then pm me. I think I've let most of you know already but I'm going on holidays for two weeks (leaving this saturday) so after then the best way if you need to contact me is on my mobile. Greg
Sorry Clint I have to be fair here, neoGT-25 asked me first about 1 hour ago so I'll give him first go at them. If he deides against it or takes forever to get the money, then you'll be next in line. Alternatively I could auction them off? j/k Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/18107-rb20rb25-coby-extractors-group-buy-expressions-of-interest/page/2/#findComment-401404 Share on other sites
Ryno
It cost me about $100 to get my Cobe extractors fitted, just to give you guys an idea... It took a little longer than I was expecting because they had to grind a side off all 12 of the washers, to miss the welds on the extractors. _turtle_
damn, is it that troublesome? i thought that they just about bolted straight on! any exhaust place can pretty much do it right? btw greg hasn't gone on holidays for 2 weeks, hes doing a runner with all our cash!!!! Ryno
Yeah any exhaust place can do it, they also have to be welded to your existing exhaust system, as they don't bolt on at that end Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/18107-rb20rb25-coby-extractors-group-buy-expressions-of-interest/page/2/#findComment-403073 Share on other sites
Greg
yep its true, i'm currently in the cook islands At the other end couldn't you just get them to weld a flange to it so it does bolt on to the cat? this would make it easier if you wanted to change your cat in the future. it sounds a bit dodgy about grinding them down, i thought they were meant to be a straight bolt on. i had a look at the standard extractors today and they suck! piping is really small and bends obviously aren't mandrel done. also you guys should tighten your throttle cables. i took a fair bit of slack out of mine and it's much more responsive now cheers greg Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/18107-rb20rb25-coby-extractors-group-buy-expressions-of-interest/page/2/#findComment-403196 Share on other sites
Ryno
What they could do is cut the flange off your standard extractors, weld that onto your Cobe's and bolt them in place Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/18107-rb20rb25-coby-extractors-group-buy-expressions-of-interest/page/2/#findComment-403206 Share on other sites
