R33 S2 Afm

ok im an idiot and tried to clean my afm out with Co2 cleaner (its an electrical circuit cleaner) so i went to buy a new one. The part number on my afm is 22680 31u00, i went to ****** to order a new one and they said that the part number is for a a31 maxima :whacko: and the afm i should have is listed as 22680 02u00. i got the 31u00 figuring its for the series 2?, can anyone confirm this?, i dont want to fit it if its the wrong one for the car thats all . before you ask, i did a search . cheers

Whats wrong with cleaning it with Co2 cleaner, I did mine with it a while ago and its fine.

i kinda doused it a lil too much i think, im guessing it may have been on its way out anyway?

there is not much to an AFM.

if the wire on the element is still intack, then open the top lid, re-solder the points, dry the whole unit with a hair dryer and put it back on..

should work.

Sounds like opening it up and checking it is a good idea I sprayed mine quite alot too, to the point where it was dripping and its fine.

yeah i know its probably fixable, but 1.) im on the pedantic side and 2.) im about to fit an avcr,fmic,safc to it (ive already replaced the fuel pump and get it tuned hence the reason i wanted to know if i have the right afm, i dont wanna get to my mechanic and have it not right for the dyno

I just got a quote from Croydon on Nissan Part Number 22680 31U00 (thats the S2 R33 AFM your talking about). To get a brand spanker from Nissan is $845!

i've got a S2 AFM you can have for $120, it's off an R34 Neo, but its the exact same (tested on my GF's stagea, 100% works)

My series 2 skyline has the exact same AFM as a 95 model Nissan Maxima. All serial numbers, etc. are the same and the labels are pink. Yes I have tried the AFM from the maxima and works fine with my car.
