Well in '96 I got my L's on my 16th birthday (July 8), and then they day I was 16yrs 6mnths (Jan 8th) I had my P's :O

Think its still the same age but the age thing. Check out the link Cara posted

just checked the link and turns out that i was right.

get your l's at 16

p1's at 16 6months

you hold you p1s for 1 year and your p2s for 2 years.

you guys are lucky

down in vic l's at 16

p1s at 18

p1s for a year and p2s for 2 years

anyway thanks for your help guys

hahaha when i got my license i think you only had to wait like 3 months i had 3 driving lessons and took to the roads with the test instructor and got 3 marks against me :D wohoo P's first time in a manual

and what used to be centerlink and job search they paid for my driving lessons :O

thats how it should be i think same as vic, give the kids more time to learn how to drive instead of handing them what can be consided a lethal weapon 6 months down the track after getting their L's

my 2c ne ways

Kind of agree with you Cara. I'll admit, at 16 I had already been driving on and off for a few years when I went bush with my dad, so I had some prior knowledge of how to handle a car.

BUT majority of ppl on still have no idea on how to control their hormones at 16 let alone a car ;)

i dont see why they got rid of the instructor thats a pretty nerve racking experience and if you can pass that test in a manual then i think your ready to drive

did anyone watch the last chance learners tv show was soo funny

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
