for those of us who have had previous head units from japan they don't work naturally with australian radio. They usually need a chip or something put in them. Don't put peoples comments down if you don't know what your on about. I was genuinely asking a question as the colour matches the outside of my car and would be nice to have inside my car as it looks like a decent unit. Therefore i was genuinely interested in buying. I think i'll pass now however.

$600  whoa! Now tats ambitious! ERhm well if u wanna drop the price of watever the price gets up to on ebay. IF ITS NOT $600 I'll be keen to buy it. AND IF MASE U HAVE A OLD JAP HEADUNIT I'M keen. Or anyone out there. ANything that place cd's and looks nice. I dont need the radio! I LOVE MY MP3's ;) thanks

As an importer of vehicles for 5years im quite sure i know what im atlking about. Bryan if you like make me an offer but you can go and ask strathfield car radios for a quote on such a unit and they will tell you what they are worth and then you will be shocked. I also have a double din which isn't working but i have been quoted $170 to fix. If you like you can have it for $50 and fix it up in melbourne or i can get it fixed and you give me $250 for it.

Its a jvc cd and tape/tuner it works with a battery charger in the house but won't play in the car. Weird. Let me know if your interested.

oh tru tru. narh too much trouble, thanks anywayz mrtwinturbo. But I'll see wat u fetch on ebay then I'll give u an offer above watever highest bid u get (if its still in my price range).

ED - r u selling ur headunit or just swapping?

So does this mean this is a trader advertisement from your import company?? No offense mate but you may of never received any cars with headunits that only go up to 88 fm but i have had two.

Thanks anyway and goodluck with the sale.

All car's which arive from japan only go up to roughly 89. Even on all standard japanese low volume or personal import cars.

Also its not a trader ad as i do this on the side. Like many others who import vehicles sure beats the hell out of paying dealer prices.

    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
