-=MC=- Coolio
hi so far the only gold rims i have found are these three, and i have tryed about 10 websites! most wheel retailers dont have gold wheels and I'm running out of places to look. So does any one know a place that sells some gold rims, even a couple? thanks (sorry about my annoying questions.... I'm new Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/183980-18-gold-rims/ Share on other sites

I'm in Canberra, but I go down to Sydney every month or so, so my options are pretty much canberra or sydney stores. thanks for those two stores ( dunno why i didnt think of them myself, there is an ozzy tyre's near me actually...) but another stupid question, can you put 19" wheels on skylines, or are they to heavy? if you can does it look good? or they look two big for the car. thanks Edited September 6, 2007 by -=MC=- Coolio Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/183980-18-gold-rims/#findComment-3331919 Share on other sites
fob2nv
Your best bet would be tempe tyres. They stock all sorts of rims from bling bling to race style. So good luck and believe me you gona need it. I hate choosing new rims. fob2nv
If you got a 33 they look good but ride will be a bit rough. I would stick with 18"s. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/183980-18-gold-rims/#findComment-3331965 Share on other sites

So what do you think of what I'm doing. Gonna be getting a black paint job on the r33, then couple it with some gold rims, sound good? or do I have crapp taste Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/183980-18-gold-rims/#findComment-3331986 Share on other sites
adam-__-
Try to get Jap wheels. Don't go for those 7" wide rims. If you want gold, you can get some Rays Engineering GTC's or even Work P1's for example. Depending what you're planning to do with your car, try to get 18's. 17's look a bit small on the 33's in my opinion. Gold GTCs ftw! and stick with 18s too. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/183980-18-gold-rims/#findComment-3333760 Share on other sites

adam-__-
What is a set if Rays Engineering GTC's worth in 18s new? I think depending on offset, you'll be looking at $2.6k and up. n15m0
I think depending on offset, you'll be looking at $2.6k and up. Brand new from Japan in 18s will cost you close to 4k landed. 2nd hand sets will set you back between 2 - 2.5k depending on widths and condition. Besides from quality whats so special about the jap wheels, its not like the wheels from Aus are going to fall apart after 6 months is it? and thanks for all the help so far, Edited September 8, 2007 by -=MC=- Coolio Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/183980-18-gold-rims/#findComment-3335813 Share on other sites

Why? Because of quality, look and exclusivity. Also, wheels from Australia are not actually from Australia but rather China/Taiwan/Phillipines where there is little or no quality/safety standards when making wheels. There have been cases of these wheels falling apart during hard driving! Also these wheels just copy the Japanese designs. Which would you rather have? The real deal or the wannabe?
