gt30 series turbos make me wet.. :P

welcome aboard.. added mate

lol cheers, it sounds heaps better then the stock pc of crap. my mate will be along in his sweet as s13 with ca18 to get it run in. he's gettin it tuned for run in with a new power fc on tuesday. mountain run will do it good.

yeah i have been some quick CA's there is nothing wrong with them, cept they sound shit...much like an SR....although SR's sound better when stroked...CA's dont.

Damn... I'm out.. i will be at Noosa...

bugger..

lol its prob as quick as your SR bish.

haha CA18s are shit.. sorry but u have to work on them and drive them to know this..

its actually pretty quick. should have at least 300rwhp when it gets its full tune after being run in.

but a 300hp one is good.. but itds only 300hp and a std SR S14 turbo can make that with just some bolt ones..

Dude your not making sense, cant be that shit since how many cars have them and how many cars nissan put them in.

an SR is a newer more advanced engine not to mention big capacity....you can make 300HP from a rb20 too with bolt ons...so...

its an old engine.....the SR it replaced the CA....

the HPI ca made 300rwhp with bolt ons too big deal..it all falls in to the category of piss weak

ok std turbo CA makes 130-140 std SR turbo from S14-15 makes 200-220 with injs std CA bottom end can make up to 230 std SR bottom end can make 270-280kw safely.. std RB 20-25 bottom ends dont like that much powah..

does that make more sense mr rohan.. ill draw u a magnadoodle diagram on sunday bro..

So a stock rb bottom end cannot make 300HP safetly, but an an SR could?

if you start drawing doodles around me you better lube up, cause they make me horny.

horse shit, there is numerous 300rwkw unopened RB25s around eg Revheads old car

and a S15 SR with the usual exhaust, cooler, boost and computer mods will make like 190rwkw, in fact at the last slivia dyno day in NSW not a single stock turbo car made more than 200...I call shenannigans on you Marki..either that or delusions

ok @RWKW or @FWKW.

cause 280RWKW from an stock SR is a f**k load.

it sure is.. but believe it or not it can. std bottom end poncams 3071R .86 housing and 18-20psi will see that. use a .63 for response..

RB25s can do that and ive seen 300+ and some dude ran that more months on here. so its set up depending

im planning to use the 3071R .64 and hit up 250+ on just over a bar. im waiting for more monkeys on ns.com to use that turbo so i can copy ther setup and get more useable power down low. i wasnt too happy with the 2876R.64 dan supplied on the S14 bit too doughy down low.. i couldnt slide on that really.. i do like my 25g and its low down.. very easy.. but the 235 falkens are bit sticky on entry :D

ahh poncams etc..kk.

well hopefully i should be pushing 250 out of my 25 when i get around to doing it, but i am a cheap fick

as you said Bunta i have seen it too.

me no lie.. i knw the 25 is stronger.. but the 20 aint.. champ S15 220kw on std turbo. it now has a GTSS oR GTRS now so look at older vids.

general public SR can do 270kw + and so can the rb25 depending on tune..

    • Good luck on the weekend mate
    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
