Loom & Engine Question

Heya Guys,

Tried search a few topics and threads but it turned up nothing.

Im looking at buying another engine as backup for my somewhat unreliable engine at present. Anyway, i have come across a r33 rb25det series 1 motor (without VTC) and im wondering if it will work with a series 2 loom.

I ask because I can buy long motor on its own without loom and turbo etc.

Hmmm not sure why a series 1 wouldn't have vct... Does it have aftermarket cam gears or something. and yes it will work the series 2 loom as long as someone hasn't done something weird with it.

There's probably nothing wrong with head off your motor, so buy a spare rb30 FTW.
