which route will you be taking from P6?

I think straight on the M4 all the way.. Stop over at the servo on the M4, and then continue through.. Im sure some will have suggestions as they know that area better than me.

In route pending...

I work between Penrith and Mt Victoria every day so apart from the actual highway their isn't really anywhere worth going on a 'cruise' unless you go to the coffee shop down in Megalong Valley.

It's actually only about 25km past Katoomba (or about 13km from Blackheath) and the last 12km is extremely tight and narrow as the road snakes down the mountain into the valley which once at the bottom has absolutely amazing views of the high cliffs of the Megalong/Katoomba area. At the bottom is just a very small cafe but apart from that their is nothing at all to do there.

I know the road you're talking about, down into Megalong. It's nice i always take it and stop halfway at that little track that leads down to a small creek.

I agree apart from the Hwy there isn't too much cruising track. The Megalong road will be fun if we take it though

LOL, Awesome, you lot come to my backyard the weekend I'm racing at OP. oh well, shit happens.

My suggestion,

Head up Bells to Lithgow, lunch there would be the option if you leave Homebush at 11am, would make it around 1:30-2pm lunch. IF you can get away earlier then continue through Lithgow and head back towards Sydney for about 2kms on the highway. Then take a right out to Tarana where there is a ripper Pub to stop for a bit, kick arse steaks and pretty cheap too!

From there head back through past Jenolan Caves road, to the highway. Head for Sydney again to Katoomba, where Cliff drive down to Leura is a must do detour!

Once you rejoin the highway again then head down to Springwood, where you will find Hawkesbury rd on your left (I am forced to travel this road daily on my way to work) where you will find a 3.5km hill climb section about mid way along that I would kill to close and have a red hot go at hill climbing one day. You guys will be travelling down, but it is worth turning around and heading up just once, windows down radio's off, and there is a nice lookout at the top for a stop. Just don't go up and down too many times as the heat will make their way out eventually if you do.

Continue along this road and head for Richmond, and then head home the way you came.

Hope this helps, and that should keep the drivers amongst you happy!, heard that the Tarana road was recently resurfaced, so stiff springs shouldn't kill you any more.

Cheers,

Dan.

    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together
