Hey guys,

On my drive back to Sydney from Tassie my boost guage stopped working. I could feel something strange happen to the car like a jolt or something when it actually happened. Still makes boost and drives fine but the guage just sits at 0. When you turn it off it goes to -7 so i assume when it's on it's getting enough voltage to do something but it doesn't change or something. The guage does not move at all.

My question is, does this signal come from the ECU or somewhere else? I have taken it apart and doesn't look like any stuffed joints in the guage.

i have a feeling its just a vac hose thats come off or cracked.

if u r standing infront of the engine bay it should be on the top left, there is like a box attached to the back of the engine bay and a hose running it off it. check it for leaks.

that should be the problem, it happened to me too.

Cheers. I'll have a look at it tomorow. A bit to dark now. Hopefully thats all thats wrong.

ps: Just realised this is in the wrong section... whoops!

Definitely cracked hose or has come off entirely, reading at 0 because it is reading the outside pressure. Find the little black box (is on the drivers side in an r33) and follow the hose from that to the back of the plenum then pull it off both ends and replace it (1m of rubber hose in any size is about $5 at repco) because even if you trim the edges it will keep cracking as it is obviously perished.

Thanks guys that was the problem. It was cracked at the little black box end. I just cut it of for now and later on today i will go to the shops and get some rubber hose. I don't think i will be able to keep it like this for long because it barley reaches now and definatley will crack again i can tell.
