Yeah man still got original injectors in there and still have to get remap from jeff from turbo tune. That was running at 12 psi but as adrian said I'll wind it up to 14 pound for the next dyno run and while he does the remap so i feel a little safer. I was just curious what i was running so i got a printout.

sounds good scott......just be carefull if you're planning on running 1bar boost on ceramic wheels......it's not the the turbo dying that you have to worry about but the bits they may find their way into the combustion chambers

SLED,

Its only the 26's that have the issues with sucking ceramic back in to the motor.

Providing EGT's are kept in check with a good tune and no track days 14psi is all good on the stocker rb20 turbo.

There will be bugger all increase in peak power going from 12-14psi; its the mid range that will sit up and feel alive; transform the whole car in comparison.

very impressed with my car through the hills last night, Stayed in forth 90% of the time with fantastic low down pick up, Pulls like a f*kn freight train considering the shitty tune. Very loose in the arse end. Ii want a GTR! I used about 30 litres of fuel in about an hour LOL! Once again, EBC greenstuff are fantastic.

I hear ya Ryan.....mine wasn't too bad in that department when I did the hills run with my mates 4WD Porsche & Maserati but I double hear ya on the fuel issue!!

yea flat 10.2:1 AFR's arent good for economy.

Was considering putting 3540 on the 25 to crack some big numbers but response like 14psi at 2000rpm is great for those exits.

adrian, sorry to lead you in the wrong direction on the way home hahahaha...lucky i realised when i did!

ahhh ok....I thought they had ceramic wheels too

They do

For what ever reason the RB26's suck the ceramic back in to the motor where as the single turbo's never do. Most likely a little to do with manifold design and possibly cams.

At 2k? Thats better than mine; got dyno sheet?

Mine makes an 1psi off idle; by 2000rpm its around 4psi, 2500rpm 8psi and 3000rpm 19+psi.

?? did you come across police

who got defected tonight on our hills run??

wasnt luke was it? hmmm...

they are but they dont get sucked in the motor Joel is saying

thats wierd isn't it....I wonder if that's more the exception than the rule....what happens to the bits when they do fly apart then?

One theory could be that due to the cam overlap the bits make their way through the inlet then straight out of the exh valve before the bits get combusted.....poor cats if that is the case!

Just to clear up, Dan (Inline_6) got pulled over at the end of our cruise last night, but the cop just pulled a skyline over for the hell of it coz her boyfriend is on SAU! No defects, no inspection. Was a good night tho, i DEFINATELY need some better light globes, just cant see sweet FA without highbeams.

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
