Well after 3 weeks of shopping and 2 false starts, we've found a fully renovated house with huge back yard. We went and put a deposit on a pool for it today :)

Yeah, I've got a condition of the sale subject to building inspection. Settlement is due by 28 August, with a view to moving it closer ... all up to the bank really. Due to my area of work and study, I know a few people to help out in the inspection and additions, including the planned house extension.

Something like this ...

We were hoping to keep the current house as an investment property. But decided just to upgrade and move on, rather than dedicate ourselves to two properties. We start paying on the new mortgage, once our current place is sold (or in 6 months, whichever comes first).

I wonder if I could draw that in MS Paint? :P

But, do you use Autocad to draw that kind of stuff?

the assesor from my insurance company is coming out to asses me car today..im preparing myself for a write off :D ...but im gonna see how much i can buy it back for and strip it and sell it for parts and what not and then gonna start looking for an R34..but just a GT-V as getting a GTT the insurance will kill me..but oh wells hopefully in a year or two i'll upgrade to something better :D

i'll be coming around in summer so i can keep cool in your pool ;) lol

Ha! By the time summer comes around, you'll be as large as a whale (in a good way ;)).

You could prob knock up something like this in MS Paint, but AutoCAD allows the use of layers and measuring tools, amongst many other things.

The plan has developed alot since I began the draft. Rooms have been moved and a few walls of the original house will be knocked down and removed to make for an open plan kitchen/dining area.

Settlement is around the 28th August. Pool and garage will be in and erected by September :D And house extension begins early next year. Need to remove two trees and a Hills hoist :D

haha Old Skool is cool! :D

Yep they are agressive your right so need to be set up correctly and wanting big power before you go for that style I reckon..

I use a two catch can system with overfilled oil by a litre and half (still do this even tho I have baffled the sump). I use the just jap enclosed catch can mounted on top of my head and then the breathers going to another catch can that sits near the air filters which goes to atesmophere. Mine did used to spew oil out oil even with the restrictor in when I pushed it hard around the track after about 4 laps. So we went to this system and has been great ever since, dont have any extra pressure from what I know of cause basically it's just circularting. But I dont have any oil problem's when using it for street use only on the track.

Most GTR's that I have come across that push the car hard and only have atemospheric catch cans will fill them up and spew out oil. Can I ask what you mean by hidden breathers? dumping to the ground?

hey Jess,

Have you got any pics at different angles of your catch can system & piping for it?

I've bought the unit below from Darron at Just Jap.....it has a breather hole underneath that has a tuble that extends up to almost the top part of the can with a hidden baffle inside.......bit hard to explain. Doing it this way cause cops don't like exposed breather or anything that even resembles atmospheric.

    • Wow ELVIS. You have an....interesting approach to conversation. Did you not notice that I wasn't talking to you?
    • Hello Liam - HA - somewhere in flies - possibly I have an update, but I have been so busy, projects have taken a back seat to getting business back on track.  I will let you know the outcome, but I think I am going to go for the 8HP,  CHEERS.  ELVIS
    • Thanks Joshuaho96, yes - as someone else also suggested, the 8HP seems the 'smart choice' - HA - and ZERO to do with cost, but I am sure 8 speeds will be better than 6 speeds - HA - maybe.  I will purchase a new 8HP,  Thanks.  ELVIS.
    • Nobody said anything about getting a "...cheap Falcon box..."- it was JUST a question about a specific transmission.  And YOU may have a problem with not enough $ - HA - I do NOT - so please keep your comments like you are some financial guru to yourself.  BUT - much appreciated re the cost of a new 8HP and I twill probably be the way I go.  Thanks.  ELVIS.
    • Most people I know in the BMW world are swapping 6HPs for 8HPs. The 6HP has a big issue with one of the clutch drum bushings wearing out shockingly early which leads to them going into limp mode going into 5th/6th gear as the oil pressure loss from the worn bushing causes clutch slip. Even with the adaptations in shifting the TCU can't bump line pressure enough to keep the clutches from slipping and burning. I've personally looked at a 335d with 6HP28 with one owner and ~90k miles on it and the transmission adaptations were way out of spec and even though it nominally drove ok I'm confident it would have needed a full rebuild sooner than later. Other than that they're fine, but the 8HP doesn't really have weird issues like this to my knowledge and they're in everything these days so pulling them out of crashed cars isn't too hard.
