Came home last night from my sister's to find my dog on the street corner. Found out how it got out ...

Some trespasser(s) tried to get into my property. Rollershutters all around and good security, so they tried the backyard. Forced the side gate open and discovered our black staffie. They musta shat themselves, because thats as far as they got before running. Obviously my dog gave chase and we found her around the corner from the house, so we just missed them by mere minutes :(

Went and got a few extra items today :)

"Beefing up the home security" :ermm:

He/she get a smacko like I said? Really deserved it!

The dog got treats :( She's a friggin woose around us, but don't like strangers ... is why I keep her inside when people come around.

Musta been idiot kids ... found a pot upside down at the gate. Any adult would have jumped over and then get to the lock. So Im thinking 2 of 'em ... one to get over and get the lock and one to shoulder the gate at the same time.

Kids or adults ... all the same to me. I catch them, I'll leave them in the backyard with the dog for giggles, before I have my fun :ermm:

respiratory problems would indicate more than just alcohol poisoning you would think...........be interesting to see what the lab results bring tomorrow

Alcohol slows your system down so enough of it and your breathing will labor add that to a pannic attack of having to go home and get past mum whammo can intensify the symptoms

lol at theifs running from a staffy

ive had people cross the road when they saw my staffy coming :D;)

even Wall Street in 1984 recovered...........unless you'll be retiring in a couple of years, leave it alone

:P

Just sit tight. It will recover. Those who will sufer will be those shifting their interests around.

Its the fools who panic and move things around who make the ripples in our economy worse.

Thats why our economy is so good. We have good interests in primary and secondary resources. Our primary resources will take a step up during the slump, so all will come good in the end.

We just need to sit pretty. :P

Kell, while I got ya here ... its all cool to pick me up from work at 4.45pm today to go get my Stag from MV Auto?

:P

I'll love ya forever for it.

Its about time for a service for me too I think... 5000km... would it be too early? I seem to think its too early... everyone else seems to think the car will blow up if not service at 5000km... would 10,000km services be good? Motul 300V aint cheap!

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
