jase33
Reseached with no luck. I bought a KKR430 turbo the other day and m just doing some research before fiting it to my r33 series 2. I cant work out the new V-band clamp and how it fits. I got the dump pipe that fis it as well. Has anyone fitted one of these and know of any other problems i may encounter along the way to fitting this thing?? Thanks guys. Jase. KLR33
not sure what u mean about how it fits. but if there is no bung in the dump pipe for your o2 sensor? you will need that done before u fit it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/188948-v-band-clamp-on-kkr430/#findComment-3406336 Share on other sites
Craved
just think of it as a hose clamp, just make sure the clamp is over both sides of the flanges lips Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/188948-v-band-clamp-on-kkr430/#findComment-3406341 Share on other sites

I think i know what you mean, theres just an extra ring dude left over when I get it to "work". Do I need to use gasket goo or something? Im concerned that it will leak. jase33
Here is a close pic of the fitted clamp how I think it should be (note the hole on the dump pipe for the oxygen sensor) and the clamp on its own and the other steel part that I dont know where it goes. Did I get it right? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/188948-v-band-clamp-on-kkr430/#findComment-3408353 Share on other sites
Craved
just looks like you have been supplied a flange that you would use if you bought just the turbo and not the seperate dump pipe aswell. Craved
yep looks correct to me, V bands are more prone to leaking though havent ever tried it but you could get a high temp sealer on that bead if your worried, gets used on 3 and 4 bolts exhaust flanges all the time Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/188948-v-band-clamp-on-kkr430/#findComment-3408527 Share on other sites
