dan_ep82
oh and just to clarify this is in ireland and its not illegal to do it. I've read some topics on it and see that some put a straight pipe through, my question is if i undo the exhaust on one side of the cat and drop it, can i just poke out the cat,and then just empty all the bits out. -_-StRyDeR-_-
im not sure about urs, but the last cat i saw to get gutted we had to bash it out!! not just "poke out the insides" it would be ALOT easier to just drop the cat right out and do it. but better still...just buy a straight through pipe... OR better again... just buy a proper highflow cat...haha CJ Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/190350-gutting-a-cat-on-an-93-r33-gtst/#findComment-3427877 Share on other sites
Japtastic-UK
I did mine a while ago on my old 33, its a bit of a bastard to get all the crap out, took me at least 2 hours, lots of drilling bashing and swearing but it did work, sounded better and spat flames after wards so all worth it if you've got a spare couple of hours, oh and don't forget you might need to borrow one come MOT time. -_-StRyDeR-_-
just save the headaches and put a straight through pipe or a highflow cat... made_guy
definitely go with a straight pipe that matches the diameter of your exhaust rather than gut the cat if you don't require one.... R31Nismoid
Straight pipe. Using a cat, and its dimensions creates turbulence. So pipe equal to the exhaust size is ideal Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/190350-gutting-a-cat-on-an-93-r33-gtst/#findComment-3428758 Share on other sites
