BUT....

i then sold my skyline, realised i didnt HAVE to be hear, took my head out of my ass and seen the light..

in a way, all the regular whores on here, are so far up each others ass, that they agree with every one's opinion, even if they disagree

with it... just to form that united look about them... strength in numbers imho.

meh, thats my opinion. merely an observation.

just sayin....

agreed.

yup

believe it or not, there still are a few decent people on here.

I spend most of my time in the tech sections and just ignore most of the crap in the SA section, Its usually good for a laugh or 2 though.

LOL. Usually dont enter these convos . All I gotta say is people take this so serious.

Ted is prolly a nice bloke in person. He's interesting, I couldn't give a shit who he goes of at. I'm not worried if he has a go at me either. Be a man/woman and DONT worry.

Met steveP, he seems like a decent bloke too. Rhys does say things some people are thinking. I do believe there is ass kissing. Its hard for anyone non modded to say anything against the SAU flow, if you do your usually flamed. Hence why I just sit back and watch and wont have anymore part in this argument.:laugh: cheer up

There is hardly any ass kissing and there is hardly any lack of balls ... with the exception of the keyboard warriors.

Just because you don't see it typed within these forums, doesn't mean no one speaks out to the mods. Why? Because we're man enough to talk to the mods in person, rather than bitching then trying to explore your "rebelious" nature, playing it all up to other members for that "I tell it how it is" factor. Tell it to their face.

I initially thought SteveP was a bit of an idiot (and I'm certain he thought that of me), but I've since met the guy in personal and he's okay. I really don't take too seriously things he says that I disagree with. For the most part, he tagged onto alot of the stirring started by others, and never really started it himself. We know who he is now and vice versa, he is hardly a keyboard warrior. I still don't expect him to agree with me on everything and vice versa, but we both now know that we can talk to each other about it, rather than contributing to the shit slinging on SAU. So what has been developed is respect. We don't have to agree ... but we can respect.

That is something that Ted180 lacked, was respect for other members. Meet people, meet members, attend shows, attend events, and develop that physical association and some respect ... rather than beating up on a keyboard.

can we cut the macho stuff, ive had to deal with enough posts talking about how manly everyone here is.

also while we are at it, stop calling people keyboard warriors, it's stupid, without knowing the person in real life and knowing whether or not they'd say the exact same thing.

this is the internet, people seem to have forgotten that somewhere down the line.

So what has been developed is respect. We don't have to agree ... but we can respect.

the key word there is develop. i have a problem with the attitude that being a mod demands respect automatically, as always you can only develop a amount of respect, you cant just expect everyone to respect you because you've been given mod powers.

i dunno, maybe we have different definitions of the word respect.

i actually never said i agreed with it, even though i do to an extent. i think its just good to see some members growing a set and speaking out.

Oh hey another chuckle to be had... or unless you meant growing a set of something non-genital related?

Craig, Nice work mate, see people its not that hard people, and look what he called me :blink: Look id have to say that some things i didnt agree with that you said and obviously vice versa.

You've pretty much hit it on the head, Once one of the "buddies" suggests anything, bang the sheep follow, something gets suggested and no way cant do that....

But yeh nah, sorry ive given it a while, and nothings changed in that reguard so....Im Out!!

nah ur right, it wasnt worded properly, its not an issue about having the balls to speak out, often its just a calculated decision to not say anything, a smart decision really all things considered.

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
    • I haven’t yet cut the chassis, maybe I switch to a reverse flow. I’ve got the Intercooler mounted as I already had it but not cut yet. Might have to speak to an engineer
