I got the DX10 version of the demo running from the X64 bin file, so 64bit and DX10 in Vista 64bit and it's amazing!!!

I've got it set to low though becuase my 8600GTS sucks :)

has anyone else thought of getting an 8800GT the new one thats just come out? and is much faster than all versions of the 8800GTS and just a margin off the 8800GTX?

i like the way in the DX10 version you can shoot trees with the boat and they fall over and crush things, man I'm buying it too :D

Seriously a good reason to upgrade to Vista if only for this game, or you could do the patch thing above

I'm getting a 64 bit vista version atm, just bought a new pc and damn xp can't take over 2gb ram + i'm sick of the same old blue screen bs

you guys reckon i will have any chance of running this on medium with 4 gb ddr2 800mhz, asus M2N-E Sli and the 6000+ dual core with only a 256mb 7600GT card? Cards are insanely expensive, a 8800gtx costs the same price as the pc cost me (450)

it should be able to run it on medium (depending on what res you have it set at). the only thing holding you pc back is the video card, the 8800gt should be out over here soon and it should be fairly cheap.

Hmm, do you think it's worth my while buying:

640M 8800GTS Generic/Leadtek/Gigabyt /ASUS $452/$489/$499/$499

Or i should just wait for this 8800GT to come out?

defiantly wait for the 8800gt they are way better than the gts and almost as good as the gtx, and also they should be cheaper than the gts when they come out in a week or 2.

Game looks off tap, especially in the scenes when everyone is talking, faces look real as, my pc runs it ok on medium graphics and can sorta manage on high but, definitely will need a new graphics card to use FSAA and high res on medium, high/very high settings (i ran mine on medium with 1024X768 and high on 800X600 high was pretty laggy at parts)

Only problem is the crosshair.. when u zoom if you have iron sights instead of accuracy sights selected (default u do) it's really hard to shoot, even if u line up the little aim thingo on the gun

awesome game! absolutely crazyyyyy graphics and physics and I love how you get different powers using the suit's modes. Amazing scenery and its pretty fun to play... pretty much same as Far Cry was.

As for performance... well I tried running 1920x1680 (my monitor's natural resolutaion) with all quality details maxed out to Very High including anti-aliasing 16X however it was running fairly choppy. So I turned the Anti-Aliasing to 4x and set details to High and it ran smooth, while still looking incredible.

    • Have you done your thinking backwards? 3 bar, 43.5 psi pressure drop being the presumed specification for an injector, means you need 3 bar upstream when they are firing into atmospheric pressure, and more upstream pressure than that when on boost (you add your boost to your rail pressure to maintain 3 bar across the injector) and you need..... less pressure upstream when you have vacuum in the manifold. So, presuming that you're idling at -10 psi, then you only need ~23 psi in the rail. I realise that I did not need to say all of that to you specifically Matt, once you'd realised your mistake. It's mostly there for complete clarity for others.
    • Have you reached out to the guys at Spool Imports? They are a Ross dealer, I can imagine they would have the rings just sitting on the shelf (I could be wrong).
    • There's one for sale at Grand Auto Wreckers in Lonsdale (SA), for .... let's suggest the sum they're asking for will make you cry. You may have to embrace the idea of modifying the rear subframe to accept some other diff. You could probably find a way to wangle a shortnose into there, with a custom rear adapter and some sort of shenanigans to relocate the front mounts. This has probably already been done by others, so there might be some guidance available as to how easy/impossible it is, out there in the googles. But you possibly needn't restrict yourself to Nissan diffs if you're going to contemplate that. There are similarish Toyota diffs, possibly some Euro ones, possibly some Seppo ones.
    • The ball joint taper and arm taper have to match angle and diameter, but just doing the bushes is a much better option.....seems like the industry moved to "it is cheaper to replace the whole arm than take on the labour for changing this bushes", glad the aftermarket supports it
    • Gee she looks a bit rear heavy in that first pic! Sounds like a great project with the kids, but as I guess you know R series stuff is getting hard to find and pre that is pretty much impossible these days
