Price: $4500obo

Location: Melbourne

Contact: PM or leave post

Comments:

I imported this new from RIPS (http://www.ripsltd.co.nz/performance/products.html) a while ago for my datsun but have changed project direction.

As you can see, their STD internal long motors now sell for $4750NZD (The same as this one which RIPS have acheived up to 600hp).

Also included is a RIPS front facing plenum ($1200NZD).

The head is an R32 RB25DE and comes with matching loom and ECU (although full aftermarket ECU recommended).

Also includes new HD clutch.

For $5000 I will throw in a brand new XR6 turbo fitted to the motor with braided oil line & fittings.

I can deliver for free anywhere within Melbourne, not really interested in organising interstate freight, but buyers can do so if they wish.

  • 1 month later...
if ur interested in seperating im interested in the intake plenum. if u are willing to seperate just give me a ruff idea of how much u want for the inlet manifold, cheers

I'd only seperate if I had other buyers for the remainder.

Will consider all offers.

if this motor is sold with out manifolds ect im still keen on the intake manifold, is there a difference between rb25det and rb25de intake manifold bolt patterns?

Deposit has been taken on the full package guys.

For reference, there is a difference in inlet port size between RB25DE and other RB motors. Therefore it is quite difficult to get an aftermarket plenum to suit the RB25DE style RB30DET motors.

yeh after some research i found this out. Main way to go is with teh 25DE runners with the 20 plenum. Not that hard but...Good luck with it all mate.

Yep, I have a spare set of runners (complete RB25DE manifold) which i may sell soon.

Was bloody hard to find a set someone was willing to seperate from the head.

As far as I know the actual upper plenums are the same between RB20DET/25DE.

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
