okay its time to let my car go and move on to other things in my life..

it is a genuine 1996 GTR R33 LM Vspec, one of the 98 ever made..mechanically there is not a lot of difference..but it is a special edition car..

i imported the car at the beginning of 2006 with genuine 68000ks on the clock. It was a grade 4 with interior grade B on the auction sheet.

i did a conpression test when i first got the car and it returned very good result-165 across every cynlider. it has always been serviced for every 5000ks or under, and it has been taken very good care of. ( any of you who know me would know i always wanted the best for this car)

I have done a few minor mods since...things i have now:

HKS cat back exhaust

Power FC

Tomei Cam Gears with aftermarket timing belt

GReedy Profec B Boost controller

GReedy Auto Timer

Apexi Induction kit

19 Row oil cooler with relocator

along with other little things

it was tuned by Gavin Wood/Matt Spry back last year, and on 12psi it had about 290awhp

all the mods were done while i had a big big plan for it as i always wanted to build a track/road car..but financially it is not possible for me at this stage so i have to move on from it..

now the car has about 88000ks on it, and i have all the receipts and paperwork from the day i imported it.

so this car has never ever seen the track/drag strip..and it has never been thrashed because i love this car.. ( a lot of you who know me know i dont thrash cars)

this is not the quickest GTR, but it has been taken very good care of and it has never broken down on me. if you want something reliable and to build it yourself, this is the car to buy

the price i am asking for is 38000 with a set of Nismo LM-GT1 wheels (newish 275/18/35)

or with stock R33 GTR wheels for 36000...ono

oh before you ask, the car is in its original colour..it has never been in any accidents so yeah. its definately not one of those dodgy resprays

i may be interested in trading for a post 2004 car.

yeah this is about it..making up my mind to sell it is the hardest bit really.

34000 with stock GTR wheels

Hi Frank,

Hope you aren't too disappointed in a replacement car. But $35K would make a good downpayment on a home - to be realistic.

However, I'm interested in the Nismo LM1 Wheels and I'm wondering if they'll fit a R34 GT-R since I may purchase them as a spare set.

Can you also take photos of each them incl. gutter rash on any and send them to [email protected] I'd appreciate that.

Thanks heaps,

Terry

been talking to someone who knows a bit more than me about the price of LMs, and realised that it was priced too low

however if you are genuinely interested we can talk about the price..

yeah 38000 is with LMGT1s

Guys this is very cheap for a genuwine LM GTR, one recently went nearly double this price. I would snap it up so it can sit next to my LM but i have no room.

Good luck Frank

Cheers Thraso

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
