Hey Guys,

I'm a long time reader, first time poster and felt it was time I introduced myself.

After the long wait to turn 21 and finally be rid of those dam P-Plates I decided to enter into the world of Skylines. I chose to import one myself as I had read a lot about it and thought it would be an interesting experience. After getting in contact with Mark Hocking I decided on a nice clean R33 GTR with a couple of tasty modifications.

Everything went smoothly up until it hit the compliance workshop where they blatantly said they had no parts and I'd have to find them all myself or pay them a small fortune to find them for me (would have been nice to tell me this before getting import approval through them). Anyway I've spent the last couple of weeks trying to track down some parts; this however has been rather unsuccessful as none of my mates are into skylines and therefore I have no contacts.

I was wondering if anyone had some spare parts lying around or had contacts of where I'd be able to borrow some. I'm prepared to reimburse the lender, I just want to get the car complied ASAP. The parts I need are:

-Front pipe

-Cat back

-Air box

-wheels

-Steering wheel (it's a series 1)

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Mark, welcome to SAU. You've got a nice clean GTR there!!! SO JEALOUS!!!!

Anyway, with regards to your compliance workshop. How much are you paying them for compliance? Normally they are paid to source out the parts for you. If you are the one doing the sourcing out, you should make a stand and demand for a discount on compliance service fees.

Very Nice stuff there mate, always a fan of a clean white gtr.

Most of the stuff you should be able to find on here or borrow from someone if they are kind enough.

Just need a full stock exhaust, airbox which will be easy to find

Wheels may be a bit harder and steering wheel but im sure you will find something, hopefully you get it out before xmas!

Best of luck

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
