SLED
Details Our Price : $139.95 Average Retail : $189.00 YOU SAVE : 26% Features: * Massive 7 km range * 1 Watt transmit power * 40 Licence free channels * 38 Privacy codes (CTCSS) * Range extender in duplex mode * Channel scan * Keypad lock * Keypad tones * Backlit display * Battery level indicator * Low battery alert (audible) * Roger beep * Channel busy indicator * Time-out timer * Call tones * Accessories: 1 twin desktop charger, 2 rechargeable batteries, 1 AC adaptor, 2 replaceable coloured faceplates * 2 bonus microphones >>Product Link<< Hi Steve, I don't want to take anything away from the quality of these units but a 1 watt radio wont give you 7km range in Adelaide you'll need a 5 watt in perfect condictions to come close. We use radios regularly on the road and find that the way they are rated is at night in the country with no buildings or trees around. Having said that, if you need something for communication between 2 cars driving together, 1 watt is definitley the way to go because it won't chew up battery life and won't get too hot. KISIN
i was going to get a pair of the Uniden ones for $50 but i thought even that was expensive for something i might only use once a month...This looks like a great unit and deal though for sum1 who decent quality... Maybe we should organize a group buy for some Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/197395-walkie-talkies/#findComment-3529507 Share on other sites
