Out of curiosity what offsets are they?

I have been looking for some decent 18" rims to suit my s1 for ages and its so rare to see 4 x equal width rims!

Maybe these can be it , can you find out how much postage would be from Rocky to Brisbane (pcode 4105).

The offsets I dont really know offhand, but i have the original boxes they came in somewhere at home, I'll do a look later on tonight for you and post them then.

Well postage for 1 18" rim, (not the tyre just the rim) from rocky to gold coast was ~$40, and it was right on the limit of what Aust-Post were willing to ship. so you would probably have to ring up some courier services or something like "Pack-n-Send" or contact the bus's and see if i can put them on the bus here in rocky and have you grab them when they get to Brisbane?

But I just dont have the time to run around to organize postage, so not to be rude, but if you are seriously interested in them, then you will have to organize the postage.

If I had a half decent reliable car I would offer to drive them down to you for ~$200, but atm I dont actually have anything that would make it down and back.

Also apparently the stuff on the chrome bit is the clearcoat peeling. I did gently pick a tiny bit off and it still looks fine underneath, so I am assuming that with a good polish they would come up fine?

Also they bolted straight up to my old S1 Stagea, so I would see no problems with them bolting up to yours?

need me to drive them down to brissy Cy??... i can pick them up Tuesday...

.. unless i buy them... i can;t decide on them or CAI's - or 34GTR - or emergency moneys for my trip to tassy...

Well we can bolt them up and you can see what they look like on Tuesday if you want to?

Also it'll be up to rubba to organize with you to take them down for him. But it means he'll have to pay me before Tuesday as well.

Pics of us test fitting them to Chris's beast: (Yes that is Chris in the pics, and the boy with the white t-shirt on is my son)

Both my daughter and son kept asking Chris if this was our car, and if he had brought it back

That mustve been heart-breaking man... really wouldve been. A friend of mine had to let go of his car due to financial circumstances. Loved it to pieces, always washing it such. Sold it, for no-where near its value and had to watch the guy who bought it drive past him on the way to work everyday.

If that wasnt bad enough, the guy then wrote it off on the way to work, and my mate drove past and saw the car with the cops and ambos around. It was 3 weeks after he'd sold it.

Will you get another stagea cy? I cant wait to get one hey...

hey cy looks like my stageas twin brother ha ha .would always sell her back to you mate anytime .from one good home to another and back ha ha but with more grunt then 12 cops this time .

nice

if I win the lotto cy would have a stagea in his driveway again

dale will have to beg :D

Most probably not eh, But I am really gald bernard bought it, as he has treated it with all the goodies I probably would never been able to afford to do.

Yeah maybe if I find that elusive money tree, and then I would probably go a 260RS, but would be VEEERY tempted to get the old girl back, I bet she goes a lot better now with the new turbo! :)

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
    • I haven’t yet cut the chassis, maybe I switch to a reverse flow. I’ve got the Intercooler mounted as I already had it but not cut yet. Might have to speak to an engineer
    • Yes that’s another issue, I always have a front mount, plus will be turbo plus intake will big hasstle. I’ve been told if it looks stock they’re fine with it by a couple others who have done it ahahaha.    I know @Kinkstaah said the stock gtt airbox is limiting but I might just have to do that to avoid a defect so it atleast looks legit. Or an enclosed pod so it’s hidden away and feed air from the snorkel and below Intercooler holes like kinstaah mentioned. Hmm what to do
