the GFB Stealth-fx does what you want.......................
Apparently it doesn't... as it's only 50 50 plumb back... if I plumb it all back then same thing as stock.

Thanks.

It does

I bought one for CHEAP a few months ago, its on my auto mod'd stagea atm.

stnd bov got "repaired" :D

and now that Im on holidays, as of like 1hr ago, Im going to take off the FULLY ADJUSTABLE gfb stealth-fx bov (worth $550 new)

and put back my fixed stnd one

my mack truck is about stealth not sound

contact me if you want it for what I paid for it

I used it on full plumb back and full spring tension, works real nice and sounds, well, funny.

a few test runs would sort out what sort of atmo / pmub back percentage mix works on your car

its not my kinda thing, I got it to hold boost pressure, but Im going about that little quest a different way now so I have no need for this as of next week.

but if you are into bov's, then the GFB stealth fx is worth a research matey

I guess, I'll just leave it on Stock then... I can't be bothered, BOV's are so expensive, and the sound that I want is really hard to find... some, e.g. WRX BOV's sounds like a pigeon on steroids... sounds so ghey... I guess, I'll leave it stock... who cares....

Cheers,

you all need to attach a duck call whistle to the end of your blow job valves.

it will solve everything.

ssss quaaawawawawawawa

I gues there's nothing we can do then... Heard you can modify the stock on to make it sound better, but apparently not a good option... never mind... thanks.

god there are some dumbshits on here

ok here i go

stock r33 bov which is NOT PLUMBED back so its running into the atmosphere ok

car runs on map sensor and i dont have all the stock plumbed back piping shit so i ran it atmosphere

bov leaks like a heap of shit, must i explain myself any fkn further or are u just another keyboard warrior wanker on here who pays every other c**t to do shit on there car?

thanx good day

lol well your the dumbshit who is running a plumb back BOV to atmo?

If you had half a clue you'd know the stock plumb back setup returns air into the intake pipe to keep the idle stable when dropping from various RPM.

And you'd also know it circulates air through the plumb back setup to keep gear changes smooth while driving (prevent surging).

Now it does leak air through, but because its plumbed back it all goes back through to the same place in the end.

Link below also shows the fact that the stock BOV DOES leak, is you make it ATMO it will leak into no where.. = loss of boost = loss of power

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...l=stock+r33+bov

So if you don't plumb it back, of couse it will leak idiot thats why its plumbed back in the first place..

Now which moron reroutes a plumb back BOV to ATMO?

Your the dumbshit who has hooked it up wrong, now you blame the quality of the stock BOV saying its shit and doesn't work?

Basically there is nothing worng with the BOV, just your stupid setup.

If you had hooked it up right it would run perfect but because you have hooked it up like a retard it clearly doesnt work.

AND I wasn't having a go at you, all i was saying is that what you stated was incorrect.

The stock BOV will leak when not plumbed back because thats how its designed to work.

Your the one who got abusive :)

I think CEF11E was runnnig like 19psi on stock R32 BOV with no leaks and this dumbass reckons his is leaking.

Probably not even running close to 19psi either.

THE MAFIA is always saying he is running 20psi with a GT3076 making 300rwkw on a stock BOV with no leaks..

Are you making more than 300rwkw buddy? You must be if your BOV is leaking that bad!

Keyboard warrior your self wanker.

i was running 1.3 bar thru the stock bov you f**kin wanker... both atmo and plumbed back and either way it fkn leaked. dont try and tell me whats right and what wrong i KNOW what it does and i KNOW how it works im stating what it was doing and ill stand by it. dont need someone like u to tell me otherwise lol

What Abu said is correct, I done some research and have spoken to a few people at Chaser Motorworks - the way a R33's BOV works is based on a setup that the BOV is plumbed back into the intake pipe as the engine expect this - without this setup (e.g. atmospheric blowoff) then this will muck up all mixtures and settings hence stalling...

I have to say, I love the Pphsshhttt sound, but if it means non-stop stalling, I'd rather not have the sound so that my car rounds smoothly... but I agree... the stock BOV works perfectly and does its job - don't fix what aint broke... I mean, I'd love to have the ppsshhhttt sound if it's full plumb back but don't know if there's such a BOV that works this way....

Guess getting both the sound and preventing stalling is impossible

Thanks fellas...

Also, what's the difference between a Stock R33 BOV and the following?

Which would host boost better?

Which would make better sound and would both be as good?

Cheers,

    • I wasn’t able to replicate the sound anymore. It was a one time sound so maybe it was just coincidence but it was like small pebbles being dropped in a coke can.   should I try cleaning the MAF? It could be it’s functioning but dirty? I don’t know.
    • Update 4: Hi all. The car drives again! Haven't driven for long, only to store it in the garage again, but the test drive was successful. The coolant and oil leaks seem to be fixed for now. Temps on the engine were also very good, while moving I never even saw 80C water during the approx. 30 minute drive. Ate up all the coolant in the reservoir though so will have to fill that even more when I go to the car next time. One thing that pisses me off is that the RPM gauge is still f**ked, I even resoldered the board twice and used copper paste on the silly screws that are used as connections. Next time I take it out I'll take apart the board and fit new components, I'll see if I can get a replacement IC for it.  I have an appointment set for 22nd of September for the engine tune to 370hp. Alignment also still needs to be done. My hope is that I can get all the legal stuff over with by the end of this season. Anyone of you have advice regarding intercoolers? Currently there is an APEXI core fitted, one of those weird hybrid ones, 600x270x76. I don't think it's bad but it's not new and now I still have the chance to change it now to legally include it in the paperwork. Only issue is that the only options that would arrive in time are a HKS Type R intercooler or generic Ebay spec intercoolers comparable to a JustJap one. Ideally I'd order a Plazmaman but it takes over a month to receive which would mean making the car legal has to wait until next season. Would love to hear some input on this. Same story for my injectors, the previous owner was a nunce and put ID 1050x on the engine. They work but are obviously not ideal at "normal" power levels. But I don't see a reason to change them unless the tuner says it's necessary. I read online before buying a different exhaust that the top secret style rear diffusers won't fit due to the size of the rear resonators. My buddy and I made it work by slightly "adjusting the shape" of the mounting bracket and making some spacers out of 3d print for the mounting bolts. Fits like a charm. Just putting this here in case someone has this problem. Even the hefty HKS Silent Hi Power rear can fits without hitting anything.
    • Well they got my money but they are not getting my gearbox !
    • It's needed for rolling idle up, and I think it is a decider on VCT also.
    • I mean, not really. Link ECU's can absolutely still have errors from the ECU thinking it's getting a sensor it's not expecting. I would imagine the speed at the ECU level in Nistune does absolutely nothing anyway? I assume the ECU does not do any fancy TC stuff with regards to front+rear wheel speed or anything of that like anyway. Someone who uses Nistune may be more fluent in it.
