red p's to green p's

hey, im just curious, say for example someone gets 4 demirit pts off fines while they have red p's, however as we all know the pts dont come on till they pay the fine.. so is it possible to upgrade to the green p's if you have had your liscence long enough to green p's before you pay the fines?

ive checked the rta website and i couldnt find anything directly relating to thismatter

Also another quick basic question

if u loose points on ure normal license, how long does it take b4 they come back? Ive heard its a rolling 3 year period?

for full liscence, its just you get suspended if you get 12 pts in a 3 year period.. so from that point in time 3 years

if u loose all ure points, u get suspended, do u then start with all of them back? or do u get put back on 0 or ?

In relation to ure question,

i think its ok so long as the fine hasn't been outstanding for "too long". If u havnt paid the fine in say 3 months, nor elected to goto court, they won't let u, same with car rego etc. If u elect to goto court, upgrade, then cancel, i think u should be ok.

ahh i can get new liscence in like october 31.. but i rekon i could possibly stretch this out.. eg sending them a letter in a month whinging saying im un employed blah blah cant pay it, then they have to re issue me a date saying it is due at a new date etc

I hear that points deductions date to the time of infringement. And if at the time of infringement you would lose your license, then it'll be suspended regardless of whether or not you have extra points now, or in the future.. Read it on another post a couple of weeks back.
