Comments / Modifications:

I have only recently purchased this car (Nov 07) and am now selling it due to a change in my personal circumstances. It is in excellent condition and a real head turner. I am a mature driver and do not race or flog this car, it has been very well looked after and is a very reluctant sale. The only notable thing about the car is that the front bar could probably use a respray (estimated at $300), but apart from that and the body is in very good condition with only a few minor stone chips. Serious enquiries only please, no time wasters/dreamers/test pilots/etc :worship: .

If your looking for a R33 Skyline that you can just jump in and enjoy with nothing else to do - this is your car! Or alternatively if you are looking for an R33 with a good set of base mods that can be built on, then this car would be ideal.

I can assist potential buyers with Rego and Insurance questions as I have just gone through the whole process!

It is the Type-M Skyline and has as standard:

  • Dual airbags
  • HICAS
  • ABS
  • 4 Wheel Disc Brakes
  • Climate Control (air con works very well in summer :D)
  • Power Windows
  • Power Steering
  • Central Locking
  • Power Mirrors (the ones that fold in)
  • Rear windscreen wiper
  • Adjustable Steering Column
  • more!

It has the following modifications/accessories (most receipts available):

  • Personalised Plates (NSW): SLY-033
  • Heavy Duty Clutch
  • GTR Body Kit (this car really turns heads - looks terrific!)
  • 19" Apache Wheels (tyres have approx 85% tread left)
  • 3" Stainless Steel Exhaust from Turbo back with high Flow Cat (I also organised a "rego" muffler from the boys at City Exhaust which is included - just in case :()
  • High-Flow Fuel Pump
  • Front Mount Intercooler
  • Skyline Rear Swaybar
  • Stainless Steel Air Filter with Custom Alloy Airbox
  • Oil Catch Can
  • Turbo Timer
  • Genuine Skyline floor mats
  • Xenon Headlight Upgrade
  • Autometer pillar mounted gauges
  • New Pioneer CD/MP3 Player (has iPod input and cost over $700)
  • New Mongoose 3pt Alarm & Immobiliser (this will satisfy the Insurance companies) (cost over $600)
  • Remote central locking
  • Just been serviced by AutoTek in Canberra with all oils changed (and given a clean bill of health)
  • Just had a wheel alignment

have u got any side shots?

also what suspension has it got?

It's not lowered and I think it has the stock suspension in it. With the body kit and wheels it looks great and is still a pleasure to drive (it can also get over speed humps with no troubles >_<). I have attaches some side angle shots of the passenger side and will upload some shots of the side profile tomorrow.

I just remembered that it does have a Skyline rear swaybar.

how much without your huge 19-inchers?

and where did you purchase the car from in Nov? how long has it been in Au if it's local, how many owners and do you have logbooks for it?

Hi Stayer,

I dont have any other rims for it, but if you do, then you could have it for $14K. Ideally I would like to sell the car whole as I have no use for a set of 19's!!

I purchased the car in November from a private seller in NSW, not a dealer. It was privately imported by the previous owner in 06. He apparently does have the logbooks, but moved house and was not able to find them before I purchased the car. I can contact him and see if he will look again if you are interested?

    • Nope.    Grab a varex and turn it down as you get close to home, win win?
    • So, I've had my V36 for about a month now and have already copped an "excessive exhaust noise" notification from QLD TMR, reported by someone in my local area. It's a twin as per the original, and can have a bit of a throaty note to it when idling cold 😄 and if I do get up it a bit, it can be noisy, but it did pass a roadworthy inspection before sale, so.... ... but in the interest of being a good neighbour, I do want to quieten it down a bit. Is anyone here running a quiet aftermarket cat-back on their V36 or 370Z? And the big, bold question: does an aftermarket cat-back really make much of a performance difference on these cars?
    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
