Vented Bonnets + Rain = ?

yap it isnt a problem at all unless you have electronic bits that arnt covered properly or coil pack or other things in the bay that arnt covered properly, iv had many vented hoods on cars, it dose help with heating if u go for a wild drive then put ur hand near the vent u see that lots of the HOT air is getting out of them which is what you want.. the little bit of water that goes down there also vapers fast or dosnt do anythin to the engin. oh ya make sure the air filter isnt right under a vent .. :P

Plugs will corrode.. i.e clips and shit that plugs into other shit, coilpacks will mal and youll get rusted covers, head sheilds and unpainted items..

just carry around plastic garbage bags and tape, start rainin tape up the hood.

I bypassed this problem by lifting the origanal bonnet 25mm with longer bolts and spacers.

It does the same thing as a vent and has that jap street car look. :P

I actualy got the idea from a 32GTR i saw in rowville a few years back.

You mean lifting just the rear part of the bonnet right?

Do u have any pics?

Or doesn't it show much of a dfference?

Cant really see mine, buts its raised just a bit, still get a little water down the sides when its raining but nothing too serious.
