Wow thanks! i'll look it up, never new any of that.

You might have problems with signal strength going upstairs to downstairs, im not sure i have never tried it.

This would only be faster if the wireless adapters he had for his laptops, and game consoles support 802.11n

Its usually just the wireless G that the ps3 and wii would support isnt it?

Yea my guess is it would just be G, but you laptops depending on how new they are may support N.

The real bottleneck will be in the ps3 and wii's (and any other wireless device you want to connect) wireless adapter speeds not the router.

Thats simply not true - i use a wireless netgear modem that came with my $99 optus fusion plan and i get pings of -30 and it never chokes. Downloads on average 500-600kbps.

I dont know what your smokin but it does create lag if there are more than 1 thing sharing the internet connection
