What Oil To Use

any1 know what oil to use, the reservoir is in the boot of 33 GTR

its reddish looking, i assumed transmission oil??

yeah power steering fluid or ATF would be fine

i went and bought castrol syntrax full syn 75/90, its normally used for manual tranny, would that be ok??

nope be careful you can't use a gear oil, it needs to be a hydraulic oil. keep the box oil for boxes

we use castrol synthetic ATF in the race cars but any ATF should be fine its a simple hydraulic system.

And good to hear the controller made it oK get it in the car and start having fun

hmm that is 2 autobarn threads this week

ATF for the boot resoivour and also for the transfer case itself (you can fill that thr the gearstick or the filler on the side). gearbox and diffs do take oil but you need limited slip oil for the rear diff. so what you've gots only good for th gearbox or front diff.

Lsd oil for rear diff:??what brand and type

personally I run redline oil in the gearbox and front and rear diff. Both diffs can run LSD type oil, but don't run non-LSD oil in the rear.

But I think the syntrax stuff you have is good too
