I got hold of some M-type front brake for my 32. but i just got the calipers and rotors and a few fitting that go with it....

this is from http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...ml&hl=brake

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To do conversion:

a) type-m 4pot caliper x 2

B) type-m brake lines and all fittings x 2 (mandatory!) <----------------------------------- ZOMG! My lines were cut!!!!!

c) type-m spec discs, which will generally be much thicker than the non type-m

d) brake fluid bottles x 2 (DOT 3 or better rating) - supercheap auto

e) brake bleed kit (supercheap auto)

"In a way this is one of the more fiddly parts of the process. Make sure you have the type-m lines or equivelent, as the non type-m have a different thread pattern on the caliper end and WILL NOT work (trust me I tried)"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So that means i need M Type lines from somewhere?

has any1 done this conversion b4, any help would b appreciated!

What are you trying to do? Just convert to the larger 4 pot brakes?

That person you quoted that you'll need to get the bigger brake's lines as well, so I guess you'll need them, but doesn't hurt to try if your smaller brake's lines fit. You'll have to bleed the brakes, but that's not hard work.

Hahah, yeah, if you've got a turbo 32, you'll most likely already have the 4 pot brakes.

im not sure about non-spec GTS-t's, i think they still ran the 4-pots but smaller? i cant remember, but by the looks of his sig his is a m-spec anyway going by the front bar in the image (m-spec front bar)

Yeah, the GTSt's that weren't type-m didn't have the 4 pot's as factory items from what I know, but most turbo models being brought into Australia are type-m anyway (I'm pretty sure :D ).
