335
Hello I am ready to put my RB 25 turbo onto my RB20 R32 GTS-T and yes I have the elbow. Question, I know it is a good idea to have fmic or a R 33/34 smic, but what if I went with only the smic(stock or R34) instead? I can't buy the fmic right now and don't have the extra cash for tuning even if I did for the next month. I don't want to risk blowing my engine because of not tuning, so should I wait to put on the RB25 turbo? Modes I have now are Aplexi pod, catback exhaust with a cannon tip, turbo timer and boost gauge. Soon to get a split down pipe and boost controller. Help please, I have to put a turbo on soon, have been driving without one for a month now. RB32
Hey My advice to you would be to have your tune booked in straight after the r33 turbo installation. give or take a few days. whilst driving with the turbo on i wouldnt take it past 3000rpm until the tune. An r34 sidemount would do the job but id go the FMIC. Justjap coolers are perfect. r32woohoo
You could put the rb25 turbo on and run it no problem just dont run more then 10psi, actually the actuators on them are only 7psi so thats the most you can run until you get a boost controller anyway You didn't list anything thats tuneable either, unless you're talking about a remap side mount would be fine until you start running more boost Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/208955-rb-25-turbo-and-support-modes-ready-but/#findComment-3695059 Share on other sites
