hey guys I am new here and also going to be new to Turbo cars I have had my fun with a Turbo Hayabusa but cars are different to me . I am looking at purchasing a R33 coupe rb25t while looking at the cars for sale i have noticed that some are running low mount turbo's and others high mount The plenums have been changed and piping also changed .If i was to buy a stock turbo Skyline what advantages would i be getting out of changing just a few things What sort of dollars am i looking at and what sort of dollars does it take to make 300 RWKW is there major engine mods or will the RB25 handle the power After coming off a 250 RWHP Bike I am thinking that a car with less than 400RWHP is going to seem way to slow for me and i will probobly get the shits with it fast. Can I obtain 300RWKW by myself as in just buying bolt on accesories or do i have to pay people to do some of the work for me Shoiuld i just hunt around and find a car that has all the goodies already done for me if so what price should i be payiong for what i am after in a series 2

Any advice will be taken and greatly apprciated

how much do you want to spend? i was thinking of selling my car

Around the 17-18k

id be looking at a gtr after such a fast bike

Mate nothing will come close to my turbo Busa I think anything will have to have well over 1000 RWHP to match it Just think a bike that weighs 215kgs with 250HP thats pretty good power to weight ratio

I am just wanting something that is gonna give me some sort of pucker factor while driving it

300rwkw - 10-15k (properly) from a stock car.

I mean you can do things by halves of course, but the poor man will pay double.

Do some reading, there are a LOT of 300rwkw threads about... most of the time by people who soon realise that its simply a lot of cash they dont have... especially when you bust a moto :(

Either way, 18k isnt going to get you much of a kicker car mate.

You'll be looking around 20-22k for a modified one and then it wont be a decent modded 300rwkw. Might make 300rwkw yeah, but it could be driven into the ground and just become a money pit.

22-26k should net you a pre-modded 300rwkw car with decent parts and likely a built motor behind it too

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
