The first ever Tampered Motorsport Time Attack event will take place at Winton Motor Raceway on April 27th, 2008.

Entry Fee: $140 which includes Timing device hire.

Spectators are more than welcome, and there is no cost to come and watch. Also you can go for a ride in the cars but you must sign on with a Passenger indemnity first. Due to the amount of passengers at previous events our insurer has put a small levy on passengers of $10. You can just pay this when you sign the forms at the Scruitineering office. For this event Passengers will not be allowed in the vehicles during the Time Attack part of the event which will take place towards the end of the day.

The day will start as your normal Track Day, with scruitineering and practice. This will run until mid afternoon then we will have a small break to setup and qualifying order will be produced from the morning sessions. The cars will then run off one car at a time in order of slowest qualifying time to fastest in each class. Cars will need to line up in the pre-grid in order for this event. Beginners are also encouraged to enter. Trophies will be awarded at the end of the day.

YOU WILL NEED:

Long sleeve and long pants of non flammable materials i.e. No Nylon

AASA license which can be bought on the day for $50 (these last for 12 months) or CAMS L2S

Closed footwear

Helmet that complies to Australian Standards (has ASA or Snell Sticker)

Car needs to be in a good condition, no oil leaks, no loose items in the car and battery secure.

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
