Hello people,

I have gotten into contact with a parts supplier as i was shopping for forged pistons for my RB26. They currently have ACL Race Series on special. They informed me if i was able to get a group buy they will further discount them. They are requesting an order of ten or more sets. Group buy will start fron 02/04/2008 to 31/05/2008. These are the prices i was given for group buy:

* RB26DETT in 86mm (standard), 86.50mm, 87mm (oversize) Price: $899

* RB25DET or RB25DE standard or oversize. Price: $945

* RB30DET standard or oversize. Price: $899

Delivery will be approx $50 to anywhere in Australia.

So if interested let me know. ACL is an australian company and you can visit their website www.aclperformance.com.au I may be able to get other parts of ACL make, e.g. Bearings, gaskets,rebuild kits.

Regards,

Sam.

dont knoe if you will get many people mate 3 posts and only joined like a week ago dont get me wrong but some people have been scammed soooo i think you need to spend some time on here and earn your trust with these guys and girls before making a gb.

Good Luck On Sale.

I understand that Allan, and i know people get scammed. all i can offer is my word. As you have pointed out i have just joined. So how many posts does a person need or how long does a person have to be a member before he or she is regarded as a genuine seller/buyer. If people are alittle sus and dont want the item posted, i work at a mechanical workshop in sydney and if they are interested the item can be picked up and the remaining amount can be paid on pick up (need a deposit amount of 50% if member to pick up). All i am trying to do is help ppl to save some dollars as i am sure these prices are quite cheap. If any one has any question do not hesitate to shoot me a reply or PM me.

Regards,

Sam.

Its all sweet allan i didnt mean to come across in a negative way :/ , i was saying it in good nature and intentions.

As for what they come with: all pins and rings are included. i was looking to get full payment when postage was means of delivery, but if concerned the best i can do is 50% deposit(to purchase item) and the other 50% may be able to be arranged as COD via Aust Post (need to confirm with Aust Post).

Sam.

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
