Cam Shaft + Head Shim Help!

ok so i need big cams + head shims

heres my set up

Rb30 rb26 head

greddy t78 turbo

greddy intake manifold

Now please help me find the best cams . I already have 272/10.8, I dont feel its big enough

Next thing

head shims

I have rb26 head with tomei type b head kit

if I run tomei 280/10.8 what size shims do I need??

the cams you have are plenty big enough.

the shims are determined by the clearance from the base circle of the camshaft to the valve bucket. Its something that has to be determined by measurement. They may not need changing either...bolt the cam in and measure the clearance to see.

You don't want to put anything bigger then 272 on a t78 as the duration wouldn't be correct with that turbo. it's fullboost is 5500-6000rpm!!!
