Hey Guys,

I picked up my R34 yesterday. I'm so happy, so I had to post up some pics  They are a bit covered in rain, but this is the only gap I got :D

Thanks  Yea, I have pretty big plans actually.

I'm building it to mainly compete in the autotest series. For this braking and suspension are key. Also, bucket loads of power will not do any favours, so to start I'll be going for between 200 and 210 rwkw. Here is the list to get there...

Engine

- RB20 wastegate actuator (increases boost to 10psi)

- FMIC

- CAI

- High flow filter

- Power FC (if I can find one :D)

- 3" turbo back exhaust

- Iridium sparkies

- Tomei Fuel pump

- Surge tank

Suspension wise

- Tein SS with EDFC

- Pretty much a whole heap of whiteline stuff to make everything adjustable

Braking

- G4 Racing brakes all round with nice big rotors for big stopping power

Body Kit

- C-West front, sides and rear

- z-tune front fenders

- Cross Factory rear fenders

- 18x10.5 Work Meister rims with some 285 or 295 rubber (lots of grip )

- East Bear vented bonnet

- R34 GTR spoiler

ICE

- Pretty much pioneer everything from head unit to two shallow 12" subs in a custom moulded boot

Thankyou to which ever mod reopened the thread

I gotta say dude you got a damn fine ride there, looks real clean.

Looks like you've got a good plan on where your going :)

If you want to change from center triple gauges to GTR mfd screen, I might be able to help with the wiring :D

Thanks for the comments guys :)

Yea, there is definately a big difference between the R33 NA and the R34. Turbo pulls a lot harder, thats for sure

Yes... it is definately a manual this time. After driving an auto for a while, I was definately missing the manual. Wouldn't go auto ever again lol

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
