Heres a before/after dyno between stock and custom 3" front/dump/cat.

I'll be buggered if i can find the thread i created 6mths ago when i did the upgrade.

how much u pick it up for pus? is it the ones thru BATMBL?

i rkn i need to do my front end exhaust stuff...

my system is buggered... got stock fronts, 3" cat, 3.5" pipe which splits into dual 2.5"pipes and goes to twin barrell mufflers with 3.5"tip each. and one of the pipes has a hole in it and its muffler has its glass packing all fallen into the muffler.

gayness!

Hiflo cats, 3" cats, to be honest does the dollars spent really justify the power gain's? Granted your exhaust will only flow as much as the smallest part is but does $250 spent on a hiflo cat really make that much difference? I'd love to see a before and after dyno/test on this. I would think the difference would be negligable.

Got a 3" dump fitted today at Turbo Exhaust Centre in Wetherill Park, Sydney. The guy makes them in-house and claims that he supplies most major performance shops in Sydney.

Very nice piece of work. Fully mandrel bent and beautifully crafted flanges on the turbo end as well as at the cat end. Bolts straight up!

I highly recommend them. $330 supply and fitted.

I got a 3" Trust MX Front Pipe + 3" Catco Cat + 3" Trust MX Cat-Back. But I'm still using standard dump pipe which connects the std turbo to the MX front pipe.

My idle is stable now at 750rpm, not jumping up and down, so your problem may not be because of the ECU. But try disconnect your battery, pump the brake pedal a few times to discharge any electrical residue to reset your ECU and see how you go.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
