If you know anyone with a Nissan Skyline of any description or a Datsun for that matter in Tasmania can you please get them to join this site at least then we may be able to have a means of organising a get together to see just how many cars and owners we have down here and gauge interest in forming a club.

Otherwise there does not seem a lot of point using these forums does there?????????

Cheers Alex.

There is a real interest in forming clubs at the moment, but its just a matter of getting a few gathering's together. I dont know what its like down south, but up here on the north west there's only one club I know about (North West Car Club!!) and they seem to do stuff all. Just the odd hill climb once or twice a year and sometimes a run at symmons plains.

There are plenty of Nissan's up here but no one to organisise anthing. There's some good sign's in launceston. Had a top night there last friday night. Whats the scene like down there?

heaps that think they are Japenese drifters when all they do is understeer around wet corners or light up the inside rear?

Do they realise how stoopid they are?

You talkin about the japanese drifters or some dipstick livin in your street. Are you suggesting were all dickheads?

Great way to make new friends.....

I've got an R30 Skyline, would love to take it out on the track as soon as the supsension and funny diff noise is fixed...

Then I need to throw on a turbo and go all out on a drift run :-)

There are plenty of guys up here with Nissans.. Bluebirds to R33 GTR's etc.....

I am assuming you mean the one thats was a $POA?

as far as i could tell it has S2 headlights, carbon bonnet, a front bar that looked kinda crap, gold 6 spoke 18s, GTR wing, FMIC, Trust TD06 turbo, ext wastegate, forged pistons and 245Kw at wheels. can't be bothered to list anymore.

as far as i know he wants $25 or 27K

    • With the system, once you drive it for a bit, and before you turn the car off, does the car fix its date and time? When you say the date is wrong, what date does the vehicle think it is, and does it always show the same date? My thoughts from a process driven view is; The system may be defaulting to a standard start date/time. The main reason you'd typically see this occuring, is the system is losing its constant/backup power supply.   If its always defaulting to the same date/time at start up, and especially if it fixes itself while driving, I'd say either the non volatile memory has an issue, or the power supply to the volatile memory that stores this information.   The other thing I'd check is if there is anywhere in the system you can adjust the date and time from. If the date/time is still moving forward since it wished you happy new year, then it is 100% possible the system has just had a bit of data corruption occur, and you likely need to find a way to reset the date/time in the vehicle.
    • Scissor Jacks are an accident waiting to happen, the only time they should be used are in an roadside flat, even then a tyre and rim should be placed underneath
    • You know how your car rolled through a fence in your last jacking escapade? Scissor jacks increase the likely hood of that sort of thing happening immensely!

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
