hey people

this is a cruise that organised by Troy (Evo201) and AWD-Turbo.net

Detail of below

the time has come, get out your calanders and clear the 22nd of june

as it will be the first official AWD-TURBO.NET cruise

this will also be the 3rd awd cruise.

we will orgainise to have 3 meeting spots, followed by 200kms of great roads and finishing with a session of go karting at http://www.bigkart.com.au/info.html

cost is about $35-45 from memory depending on numbers we have

the day will be starting with:

1st meet will be 9.30am at the bp service center at coomera we will be leaving at 9.45am sharp. If you miss this meet just head straight for the next one as the direction sheets wont be handed out until the 3rd location. We will be taking the gateway so make sure you have the toll money $2.60.

2nd meet will be at the shell service center on the gateway at nudgee at 10.30am and we will be leaving at 10.45am sharp. If you miss this meet just head straight for the next one as the direction sheets wont be handed out until the 3rd location.

3rd meet will be at the bp service center northbound on the bruce highway at 11.00am and we will leave at 11.30am.

Direction sheets will be handed out at this location.

from here we have about 200kms of driving ahead of us.

THINGS YOU NEED FOR THE DAY

please be sure that you have a full tank of petrol or at least enough to take you 200km from the final meet

please be sure you are wearing closed footwear.

for those who will be at the first meet please make sure you have toll money.

cameras

uhf's if you have them though they are not mandatory

most important is front and rear drivshafts and a good attitude

optional extras include sick bag for any pasengers who might not like all the twists and turns of the roads we will be taking.

awd-turbo stickers will be available on the day

so post up if you are coming and also if you can give me numbers of passengers that would be great

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
