I still don't understand why people insist on asking for other peoples opinions about their new wheels or their new kit asking for opinions...?

How about next time you say, "Hey everyone check out my new wheels", rather than "What do you think".

If you ask for an opinion you will always get soneone saying nah they suck then you get all defensive or as we have seen in past threads then the person sells them cause they listen to other opinions...

I love seeing what people do to their cars, I don't have to like it to be interested, but if you ask for an opinion you will get one, and usually not what you were hoping for...

Getting people to like your choice is just a unnecessary validation...

Oh yeah the rims, nup don't like em, too heavy, average slivr or chrome... you will blend into the scenery...

+1! Finally some common sense

Jonzie26 = I take it from your join date you're relatively new here, now I have no idea about your technical knowledge on cars in general, but the comments made by other guys here about the weights of rims is merely coming from the experience and knowledge they have about the general weights of different sizes of wheels, knowledge they have probably picked up along the way by spending time on these forums and soaking up the wealth of information that can be had here if you look in the right places.

I used to have no clue about cars, now I have done a lot of DIY stuff like fitting my snorkel with fmic piping, making a second c.a.i aswell, repainting my worn interior trims, sevicing and maintaining it etc the list goes on, all thanks to skylines australia.

Don't worry if sometimes members here can come across as cynical, it's mostly in jest

goodluck with the wheels, you obviously chose them because they appealed to you which is the most important thing, making your car how you like it.

as said above if you ask someone's opinion on something don't always expect it to be favourable, you should see the r32/r33 camps go on about which car is better, silly if you ask me... r34s are miles in front :P .

Thanks yo-yo

I personally got in contact with Koya. before the other fella on hear did and he has guananted me the weigths. he told the weight for all four dieeferent tyres. so i know that i am right. Yeah your right i am new on hear but i know a lot about my cars. in the process of fixing up my commodore so that it can be sold. I was just purely asking people (strangers) about what they though about them. but then they just evolved and kept asking questions. oh well. at the end of the day i am still going to get those wheels. jist becasue i want my car to look the way that i want it.

    • You can use your VIN to look up the factory part number somewhere like amayama, and then look to order new if necessary. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan Depending on price you might want to rebuild instead. @GTSBoy I had an interesting insight into US market parts when the Titan rear calipers were sticking. New calipers were dirt cheap, about 20% more than a rebuild kit....they are just considered throw away maintenance items
    • Funny, but really not funny. Thank god (most) f the world has moved on since then
    • Lots of votes for driving onto a plank first; that is the quickest way I've found, 25mm is enough for my case but that will vary by car It also depends where you are going for. On the 32 I can get to the rear diff with my floor jack if I do that end first, and get it up on stands. Then I lift the front from either front tow hook as high as needed, also onto stands. Sometimes I need a small lift on the other tow hook to get it level enough If I do the front first I can't get to the rear diff because of the angle of the car Other options are getting to the front mount of the rear subframe from in front of the wheel (if only lifting one side, or just do both which is a bit of a pain compared to one lift from the diff), or also the gearbox cross member mount on the driver's side if you are  just trying to lift the driver's side. I This is the jack I use; it says 75mm clearance but of course that is only on the lower section so if you have to reach too far in like the diff you still get stuck. https://www.snapon-bluepoint.com.sg/category/Floor-Jacks/product/Floor-Jack,-2-Ton-Low-Profile
    • On the bright side, the weather will turn much nicer for working outside shortly....sounds like you might need to start on a neighbour's garden next
    • Ok so i will NEED to have this sensor anyway even with Nistune (or standalone ECU) https://justjap.com/products/genuine-nissan-boost-pressure-sensor-evap-control-system-fits-nissan-r34-skyline-c34-nm35-stagea-pnt30-x-trail-rb25det-vq25det-sr20vet?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOoqfxX48bW9bEwH62orcNhtBfp7ekAL0C9Ca89ySFGUiBzXfXeze Is this the correct one? And this is only thing i need? No other "things" connected to the sensor or something? I do have the wiring.
