Hi All,

Just got my iPod all hooked up and working properly through the stock screen using one of Chris Rogers AV plug's and a DLO Tunedock from Dick Smith for $130. The dock itself has an AV out socket, a usb power socket and an AUX in socket as well as doing all the usual things such as power your iPod and transmit via FM to your radio if you want to. Compatable with pretty much all iPods too!

Here are a couple of pics of the set up, components and one of it running. I am pretty impressed with the picture quality as i was certain it was going to be really grainy, but in the end it was pretty decent. All i did was use a program to convert the video for the ipod at 640x480 and make sure the frame rate was at around 29 fps for NTSC output. Also i guess the NTSC out on the iPod is handy also.

Bonus was that Chris solved my mystery switch on my dash problem and lets just say that 5km/h isnt a problem anymore

Where does the AV out plugs into? routed to the back of the vehicle into a the TV tuner, or straight to the aux on the factory screen?

The AV out plugs into the tv tuner box in the boot. Basically the three RCA cables you see there are what would be the result if you were to follow the AV input forum thread (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/diy-Put-A-v-Input-350g-t184366.html) or buy the plug and play option from Chris.

    • Quick question for you fine folks who see more ethanol in your tanks. I installed my ethanol content sensor last year. It reads temperature fine and at the time was reading 11% which I found normal for our E10 fuel over here. Issue is, since last year, I've never once seen it read anything but 11%.  I always use the same gas, from the same gas station so I was telling myself it was normal... but I'm starting to have doubts. I would have expected to see some sort of variation by now. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as just trying another pump as the 94AKI (~100RON) fuel I run is only offered by one retailer.
    • Oh my god, I feel sick. So much second year uni formulas and crap in that for modelling a sprung and dampened system. Blergh!
    • I see a Toyota 86 that has been molested by an Audi (thinking R8 ish) and a Hyundai.
    • Hey Prank, Any chance you could easily lock all the old FS and WTB posts? Even if it's just a one off hit through there. The majority of posts are people asking someone if they still have something for sale from 8+ years ago, when the person who originally advertised it hasn't been on the site in donkeys years. Just a thought I had. Maybe go through and lock everything older than 12 months or something?
    • I'd be thinking it's the other way around. Less of an impact when rich compared to lean, but definitely in a lean condition the cat specifically uses up a lot more free oxygen. When rich it's grabbing oxygen from other places to like NOx, but it still gets converted to CO2 and H2O.
