were you drunk when you posted this ... aw come here domar come get a hug :(

:P

i find that sometimes people don't know others so they look for the ones they know and have met im guilty of this too

i also agree with madbung, but unfortunately you cant send your kids out like when i was young im guessing the same era as madbung we left the house in the morning and didn't come back till late pluss we didn't have fang dangled playstations we didnt even have sega mega drives when i was young i remember the first tape drive commodore 64's took half a day to load a game so it was easier to go out side and play

anyways to get to know people you need to attend dinner events and its not all about the cruising its about the eat and meat <<< ;)

My other theory is that if we had social skills we would have girlfriends rather than cars. LOL

im an accountant im not expected to have a personality, so back on up before i pull out my calculator and get all A triple C on your ass.

dohmar next time bring ya pimp green hat so ppl know who you are.

i didnt get much sleep the night before so i wasnt really that chatty.

ill see ya at speed racer friday anyways

everyone wears name tags to next cruise :(

I talk to pretty much anyone at the meets - hey i wouldnt have made so many friends off of here if i didnt just start talking randomly to people. I tend to just go up and ask who they are, what their username is. I did see your car last night, first time iver ever seen it, I had no idea who you were, otherwise i wouldve said hi!

Come say hi next time, i wont bite or ignore ya :domokun:

haven't read everyones response but im the sorta person who will talk to anyone about anything so next time you see me on a meet up n what not just come say hi. I sorta agree with Dohmar....alot of people tend to appear really reserved etc....f*k we obviously have simular interests etc so why not introduce yaself and talk some shit...

next cruise there will be a round circle and everyone will need to say there name and something about themselves :domokun:

and what animal represents their personality the most and why, or whatever strange games they play in school these days

Dan it sounds like you grew up in a cult :O

no had to do a marketresearch thing and it started with the name and something about yourself and progressed onto some weird questions like;

think of the goverment health system and tell us what brand you would associate to it............ i was gonna say nike because we just do it.

another 1 was think of the goverment health system and come up with an image of a person.........what sorta person are they young old male female

anyways dumb sh*t i got $50 out of it cant complain :domokun:

yeah i was thinking we should maybe do a day cruise with bbq lunch and kick around a soccer ball for a bit might get ppl mingling more

LOL at this thread. very correct.

I dont usually go on car cruises because they kinda bore me now. Yeah, Ive gone to groups and said 'howdy'./ usually out of the 10 ppl one will say hi and the rest will just look at you. I dont care about chatting for hours etc, but its not hard to say gday. most cruises = standing around with f**k all to do.

rather head out and have a few drinks. with petrol these days heading to the city is just about the same price ..ha.

    • Can't you put the pistons to TDC and then do the valve seals? Or will the drop down too far to pull them back up?
    • One thing I can tell you is, do it properly the first time. If you encounter unexpected problems just let the car sit for a week or two if you have to get some other parts or figure stuff out.  I'd have said go and use as many OEM parts as possible but since you want to change the turbo later on a custom kit is probably the better choice. Since I have no experience with RB25 just compare parts diagrams and images before buying a line kit and it should be easy to see if it has everything you need. Amayama has very good parts diagrams and part number lists, that is what I used a bunch to figure out what I might need. And don't forget to plan ahead and possibly renew other stuff that's easy to get to while you're in there doing the turbo lines. Happy wrenching
    • Update 4:   Hi all, good news. Engine is running and all the gaskets and seals seem to be working as intended. No leaks so far, even the JB Weld seems to hold. I flushed out the old coolant a few times and put in fresh coolant, not Nissan stuff, I decided to try the Ravenol Protect FL22, they claim it works for a wide variety of JDM cars and the opinions on it by some people were pretty good. And it has the nice poison green color! And man am I glad I bought a coolant system tester earlier this year, vacuum filling works wonders on this engine. I can definitely recommend this to anyone still doing it the old school way. All you need is compressed air supply. Will have to do a small test drive as soon as I can, I removed the gauge cluster again as the tacho needle was still bouncing around a bit but it was much better than before already.  I also found some cracks on all 4 tires inner and outer sidewalls. Apparently these tires should 't be parked on for extended periods or be kept under 0 degrees during storage, which I did not know. Clearly the previous owner didn't look into those details either, he probably bought them just cause they are cool semi-slicks. I'm just wondering how tf I am supposed to reach 30-80 degree tire temperatures on the public road consistenly, these tires were never going to work for my use case. I'll probably order Continental SportContact7 ones as these are the best allround summer tire available right now and I don't think I'll need anything crazier for now. Do let me know if you have experience with various tires and which ones you recommend.
    • You have no idea how many goddamn boxes I received these past three months haha Most have been put to use by now though, luckily
    • Not going to pretend I didn't do a bit of junky work this time around, but mostly due to the fact that some things I am not willing to spend days fixing right now, like wiring. I try to do most things properly the first time around.
