Hey

I fixed mine, found me factory switch and pluged it in and they work fine, I then opened up my other one and found it burnt out :D. Does anyone have a R32 GTR mirror switch that has the heated mirrors button on it and in perfect working order as my one im using now doesnt have the heated mirror swtich.

Talked to munkeh on the club meet, he said when you switch to fold, as soon as the mirror clicks, quickly flip the switch back to unfold, it will fix the problem.

I tried on mine, the mirror folds, clicked, I flipped the switch, the mirror unfold back only about 0.5cm then halt again. Haven't found the correct "sequence" yet till now... But that confirms that somehow the unfold switch still works. I dunno what else caused the motor to seized....? Anyone tried this?

I can fold my mirros in and out from inside the car with the little switch/button on the drivers door, but when I leave them out and turn car off and shut door and lock they have never folded in on their own. I didnt think they did, as my R32 GTR dont and neither did my R32 GTST.

      Just throwing around ideas, does it need to be in the compressor cover? Why not the hot side piping?

      1/8NPT drill size = 8.7mm. Since the hole got messed up by me, it’s probably around 9mm.    So 1/4” NPT would be next step. A drill size of around 11mm would be preferred there which is not way of my M12 (drill 10.5mm and tap M12 threads)

      Why are you so adamant on going M12? Why not follow Brad (GTSBoy) suggestion. You're talking moving from a 1/8" size, to a 1/2" effectively. 4 times bigger. Why skip the commonly available sizes in between? The bigger you go, the more likely you are to strip the threads out at a later date, as guaranteed, someone will put a huge spanner on the M12 and really tighten it up, and you're only in thin wall, so not a lot of threads to engage!

      Hi. Yeah thanks. Car is already at tuners and it staying there to resolve "many" issues they do not like. So it is in a good hands. Getting a good tune on that Nistune ECU too so the car would be good. Just needs a little tune up and love.
