Does anyone know a Daren Vine (I'm assuming this is his real name)?

AKA japdriftking_08 on ebay

Email [email protected]

Mobile 0438 167 207

He's taken $1405 off me and not provided me with Ohlins suspension. Ignoring all emails and SMS and calls.

If anyone knows him. Tell him to pay my refund or give me the goods ... to my door in person!!! Before I take my own action.

He appears to have his own R33 (silver).

I reckon he's bought the suspension off a jap auction site using my money and f**ked off with it. Tracking down which State he's from. Any further help and info is appreciated. I have his bank details and other info and I'm going to start legal action this week.

Last chance buddy, if you're a member here, stop ripping people off.

PM me with any and all info. Reward offered.

That sucks bud. I reckon that's probably not his skyline either..

Prob not, but might as well pitch it out there.

I'll have enough info to go after him shortly, but every little bit helps.

yeah if he's ignoring you.. put your item as "Not Recieved" and if through paypal start a dispute.. if you got some of his info then that's good.. then print off a copy of the transfer showing your bank account and the money transfer to his bank account.. go the police and get them on his ass..

If he's ignored you i would give him shit anyway.. get the refund so he's left with suspension he don't need.. or does he?? And if he's "away on busniss" tell him to get f**ked anyways cause he should be giving you notice

gl hope it works out

Haha vigalante styles...

I had a dispute about a non recieved item, went through paypal, took a while but paypal refunded me in the end, whole process works pretty well in my opinion.

Or you could rock up on his doorstep and beat him over the head with a macpherson strut...up to you

Don't you read feedback??? Have you contacted anyone else that has left bad feedback for this guy, maybe they have info on him. that is a large amount of money to be direct depositing into someone else's account. I can't believe that this guy is still trading under an account with such bad feedback, you think he would open up a fresh one, don't f*ck around just go straight to the police...

There is a link that is setup for this kind of stuff, i will post it up when i can find it...

When I dealt with him, his feedback was like 94% ... then it plummeted downhill after I dealt with him. :P

I've also tried contacting the other people who've been burnt by him, but not getting much response yet.

Not the first time he's been in trouble ...

Shonky motor dealer dealt an $8300 fine A South Brisbane man found guilty of unlicensed motor dealing and five counts of false misrepresentation involving odometer readings has been fined $8300 and faces 110 days prison if he fails to pay.

Fair Trading Minister Margaret Keech said Darryn Anthony Irvine sold at least 13 vehicles worth more than $87,000 while operating as the person in charge of his father's Underwood Dealership, Freeway Autogroup.

"Irvine has never held a motor dealer's licence or sales certificate despite dealing with customers and selling vehicles," Mrs Keech said.

"Irvine's actions were clear breaches of both the Property Agents and Motor Dealers Act 2000 and the Fair Trading Act 1989.

"In June last year he was also fined $300 for acting as an unregistered motor salesperson.

"The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) keeps a constant eye on the motor dealing industry, with a view to weeding out unlicensed dealers who tarnish its reputation and put Queenslanders' lives at risk."

All dealers selling used cars in Queensland must be licensed by OFT and have their licence clearly displayed at their place of business.

Anyone suspicious of the legitimacy of a dealer's licence can check licensing details on the OFT's public register.

Anyone wanting more advice on buying used cars can request a free copy of the Glovebox Guide by phoning 1300 658 030 or visiting www.fairtrading.qld.gov.au.

Pay Pal is really useless!

Don't bag paypal unless you have tried getting a refund through them. I got scammed 2 months ago for $110 on Ebay through a supposedly reputable seller. Got sick of this delaying tactics and lodged a dispute through paypal...followed their process and got my $ back after about a month.

Check out their refund policy...pretty sure if the seller has a 94% rating you are entitled to a full refund.

    • I don't understand how this hasn't boiled down to - Upgrade the turbo when you have everything required. ECU, injectors, fuel pump, turbo, etc. Do it all at once.  If you don't have everything required, just enjoy the car as it is and keep saving up your pennies.
    • Sounds like you've got an interesting adventure ahead here with local support if you have trouble! My guess is that, unboosted, you will be OK with a small upgrade like -9. What will happen is that once the stock ECU sees more airflow than it expects it will add a heap of fuel and pull a heap of timing to be safe because it can't understand how it could get that much air without there being an issue. You will see clouds of black smoke and it won't pull hard through the midrange and top end. So, overall it will be a bit frustrating but should be OK. If you are still nervous set the base timing back 2o through the CAS, but it will be even more sluggish everywhere. As said above through...this is not my guarantee your engine won't be blown into a million pieces, leaving you looking for very hard to find parts A better idea is get a computer with logging ASAP, wire in a wide band O2 sensor and a use remote tuner. I've done multiple cars this way and while it is not as good as a specific tune on a dyno they can get it 90% right. I'd suggest if you can afford an R33 GTR these days you can afford an ECU and tune. And if you can't afford that you sure won't be able to afford the rebuild if it goes bad in the meantime,.
    • Yeah it would be nice if someone took the time to put that sort of information together, but there are a lot of variations in looms. I think you are making this way hard for yourself if you just want to get it running....sourcing an SR20 with the right wiring will be a billion times easier than matching the RB loom to an S15 chassis. If you do end up going this way, you just need to trace every wire in the loom with a multimeter, 95% of them will go to a location you can confirm at the ECU.....and then post it up for the next person who needs it
    • Just top it up with water, and keep a general idea of how much you added. It is normal for water to be pushed into and pulled out of the reservoir through the cap, and it should not be more than half full or it will be likely to overflow when hot. Any decent mechanic can do a pressure test of the cooling system to confirm if you have a leak. Keep in mind if it is only leaking a little and when hot it may well evaporate before you see it hit the ground
    • I'd ask the shop what they used and use that. Mixing coolants is sometimes OK, sometimes not, and you have know the details of each coolant to know whether it's a good idea or not.
