They'll stick out roughly 10-15mm outside of the guards depending on camber if I remember correctly. Should sit very nice with the right tyres, camber and height settings.

I think the Meisters are worth more than SP1's. Heard somewhere the SSR's were 'copies' of the Work's. Not sure if that's true though.

Edit: Price isn't bad..

i dont think the ssr are copies because ssr sp1 aare the original i heard and the work wheels arent known as sp1, they are the work meisters s1 and the ssr are the ssr sp1 professors but thats all i got told and ssr is a very popular brand in japan, thuy told me that these are somewhere near $2500 - $2700 brand new with no tread and alot of people did beleive it so i just bought them off him, anyway thanks mate, anyone else?

tuff offset man, but the car needs to be low so the offset of the wheels really show but guys yer i was just talking to one of my mates, they are 2 different brands and the price i got my ones for are very good they said, he was asking $2400 or something and i budjed him down to $1900, i guess cash really helps lol but guys how do yous think the wheels look on my gtr, i was thinking of going 18+10 +20 offset on my gtr but i didint reallyu want to as i want my car to race and i was just scrared that it will rub on the front but i still think the ssr sp1 are better and that it is a 3 piece wheel and the look of them is really tuff and i think it will make my gtr especially with the black centres, im going to take them to get lip polished so i can make tyhem new again as thuy didnt look after them lol but yer guys i just want to know if i got a good deal thats all so can someone answer that please,

and if soemone has the time can they tell me more about these wheels and if anyone has pics of the same wheel with the same offset i would love to see it and it doesnt matter what color, thnks alot guys

cheers tony

cheers mate

looks good man, do you mind me asking how much you got them for, mine are 17+9.5 all roun wit an offset f +12 but i think these will look tuff on my gtr as they will be really fat and how big is the dish on yours and would you know if my wheels are 2 piece or 3 piece,

cheers mate

guys i dont if my wheels are 2 peice or 3 peice, can anyone tell by looking at the wheels and guys anyone elses opinions of how the car will look with the wheels,

and another quetion guys, i want the wheels sitting like really tuff, hey currently have 245-45-17 on them all around but i dont know if i should leave those tyres on, i really want to get the car lowered to just sit on top fo the rim, my guards havnt been lipped aswell so i dont know if it will make it harder but i want them sitting on top iof the wheel and the wheel sticking out of the guards, that true jjap look thats what im really after, i have never dealt with camber work or anything

guys what should i do to get that really wide ass look and the car low juist over the rim,

cheers guys

how sure are you about that mate?

you kind of know about these wheels dont ya, do you know how much these are worth brand new with no tyres mate, same size, width and offset, can you please let me know and that is shipped to oz aswell lol, thanks champ

You won't be able to lower your car so it sits above the rim. As i told you last time bro they sit quite wide as i have the same offset on my gramlights 57 pros on my R32 GTR.

They sit about an inch out of the guards, so extreme lowering is out of the question.. you should be able to fit 255's on the rears aswell, and front will be fine too as long as its not too low.

And as far as i know the SP1's are 3 piece with forged centers.

And you can only differentiate between the SP1 and the S1 by the slightly thinner spokes, less curved spokes and the the rivets on the rims also the step on the dish is slightly flatter on the Sp1.

Prices of these rims vary Tony, but from what ive seen they are worth close to $3000 new for 18's so im guessing 17's are slightly cheaper.

But why are you worrying, you've already bought them?

I hope that answers most of your questions.

:D

thanks tai yer i have seen them in 18" for close to 3gz without tyres but thuy told me that they are about $2700 new without tread but yer i already bought them and im really happy with them but just wanted information on them thats all,

and for lowering the car iw ill just lower where it will sit just over the tyre, it wil still look tuff man but yer ill just have to slap them on this weekend and we will see how they look, scaryyy.... huh, i hate taking risks where i buy the wheels without fitting them to my car 1st but i think they will look sick,

thansk guys

i was just looking for some wheels in a +12 offset and i came to these te37, same width and offset but in 18" and they seem to stick out pretty damn far lol, i kind of forgot how they look on thuys car as it was dark at about 8pm when i went there but yer they are really fat and i love that look

They don't stick out far at all. Lower it so that the tyres are even with the guards then the wheel will camber in nicely. Life of the tyres might suck, but it'll look pretty tough.

Edit: The guards don't even look like they've been rolled yet. Lower it, don't touch the camber as it goes down, roll the guards, you could probably do with a spacer as well for that 'how the f**k do you drive like that' look.

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
