Hi fellas just wondering when iam turning my steering wheel to the right i hear this clunk noise coming from the front left(i think)

Any ideas?

Also i had heaps of problems with my power steering rack...i replaced them with a 2nd hand 1 from sss automotive and my mechanic says this 1 is leaking as well.....any good idea wat to do with my steering rack?

Also i hit a gutter when my rear tyre blew on a bend and replaced front left suspension except for shocks...so i might be shopping for some shocks or even coilovers any recommendation?

I get a fair bit of body roll as well so what upgrades should i do? R32gts-t

Thanks for any replys

you could always look into having your power steering rack reconditioned, there are workshops that specialise in this.

we recommend HSD coilovers which start from $1330, they will go a long way toward stopping your body roll, more info here: http://www.amecautocare.com.au/HSD.htm

Mate I would upgrade to adjustable swaybars first then test that for a while in reguards to body

roll. When the japs design coil overs they don't take into account the fact that std swaybars are

way undersized there for they use heavy duty springs in there coil overs to counter act it.Try

some whiteline adjustable swaybars it gives a tremondous increase for such little money. Why

not try the R32gts group buy in this forum honestly I would not recommend coil overs unless

you use it on the track people think that a suspension has to be stiff to perform that is not

true. Some food for thought good luck

I went a set of Tein HR's. Sure not the best but they looked bran spanking new and were well priced.

Put them in; they don't bounce around and soak up the bumps nicely. You can feel the small bumps but the big ones it soaks up well. Much better than my old stuffed suspension.

Best of all the car no longer nose dives when under hard brakes and when on full throttle on a slight bend it no longer unsettles and makes the car feel like its torque steering when coming off the throttle.

I run 12mm of cradle rake so the arse end still sits down. With the new shocks the arse end is considerably less oversteery and gets the power down 10 fold better than the old stock soft suspension.

I wouldn't be buying old s/h jap shocks but my tein hr's which looked like they had never been used are quite reasonable.

They are smoother and don't jar my back over bumps like my old VL commodore did with shocks and king hd lowered springs.

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
