hi guys jus a quick question, i have bought a HKS twin entry fuel rail for RB26, and want to put it on my car im jus a lil grey on the way to set it up i also want to put a fuel reg on but am not too sure what to get, was thinking malpasi high rate rising rate reg, will this work? ok so jus a little help would be greatly appreciated.

my main concern is this i was thinking of running the outlet of the reg into the fuel filter and then running a line with a T-piece it into either end of the rail. will this be correct? will it be ok to run the reg before the filter?? this wont effect the pressure or the regulator will it.

thanks guys any help would be great

Fuel comes from tank (pump) to fuel filter then a y-piece into either end of the rail. Outlet of rail is in the middle which plumbs to regulator then to the tank return line.

I'm sure if you have a look at the gallery pics you will soon see.

Which rail did you get. 10.5mm for standard injectors or the 11.0mm for upgraded injectors? Why don't you purchase the matching HKS regulator as well?

Cheers

well for one the reg goes after the rail......... u can go fuel filter split the line and come in from both ends of the rail and then exit the rail out the middle and go into the inlet of the reg then out of the reg back to tank or surge if applicable...... and as to wat reg u should u should get wat type of system ur gonna be running would be nice to know...

ok awsome thanks for the quick replyies guys and clearing that up, first jus with that HKS reg i thought that was bolt on standard rail only??

ok well i think i have this sorted now, an yeah sorry to leave out details its jus i was so caught up in trying to work it out. :( ok so tell me what you thnk of this. and jus to fill in the blanks i have a 040 in tank pump and twin 044 ext that mount to a custom fab surge tank. im jus running some chinese single trying to go budget build. an i know fuel is the most important factor so want this to actually be ok.

ok so here goes

040 pumps fuel from tank into surge tank.

2X 044s pump fuel SEPERATLY to individual filters and run one in left side of rail and one in right side.

run one line from middle of rail to inlet on regulator.

then outlet reg to surge tank.

and breather from surge tank back into fuel tank.

please tell me this is correct

and now wat reg to use??

Yep. Looks about right. You sure shouldn't have any fueling issues.

HKS regulator is adjustable and can be used in your application. They look the same as the NISMO regulators and have -6AN male fittings (which cuts down on having to buy them separatly). Some other regulators don't have very large orifice so steer clear of those types.

    • The ABS and/or TCS being missing/broken will not cause the engine to misbehave. It just casues CEL to come on and annoy you. The CEL is useless if it is always on, so you have to do the things you have to do to get rid of it, so it can be useful. Being a Stag ECU, then yes, it will not expect TCS to be present. But it will expect ABS to be present and working. You will need to either make the ABS CU talk to the ECU (don't ask me what that will take on an NA R34), and make sure the hardware is working....or, you just need to blank it out in Nistune. Do not persist with the stock ECU. You will just have problems. Gte it Nistuned. Start from there. DO YOU HAVE A BOOST SENSOR? The ECU's boost sensor that it. It is connected to the loom at the rear of the coil cover. Usually rides on the firewall on an R34, but is usually bolted down to a bracket along with all the other crap at the back of the coil cover when a Neo is dropped into another car. If you do not have it, the ECU will shit the bed. So, do you have one?
    • So sadly the fuel pump etc was not it. The pump and filter is new and it is still cutting around 4000 rpm. A read something about ABS/TCS (engine is from stagea and ECU too so no TCS) and i dont know for 100% that my car has ABS. It has ABS "cube" in engine bay but i dont think it works(or at least from my braking experience). Can be something like that?  I will be driving the car next week to Nistune tuner to properly see what is wrong...
    • the Tomei LSD fluid with lsd kit. frustrated that it was shaking the car to crap and affecting everything else negatively, I pulled the diff last night, and removed the lsd carrier, could not find anything wrong, however it seem to be 100 locked up acceleration, and deacceleration, wondering if they sent me a 2 way not a 1.5??  either way I installed the stock open carrier back in place. test drove everything smooth as butter again. no shake, shutter, random, what felt like clutch slip and grab or drive shaft play, etc. something differently wrong in side the lsd. I might bother taking it apart (if possible) to figure out what's going on inside this carrier, as bought too long ago to return.  only draw back is its back to a one wheel wonder.
