srsly... you would have to be an idiot to leave a skyline there ESP at night!

About a year and a half ago I saw a red Ferrari 360 parked at the Sunshine cinemas (safeway) car park. I asked why he parked there with such a car and he said that he needed some booze lol This was around 8 pm though and I think he came back soon after.

But yeah Sunshine and surrounding areas are shit.

Agreed, park your car in sunshine if you want a respray or a few new pannels

i live in south east .... at the time my stepdad was living .. and we had a security light in the drive way ... noticed around 1am it went off, he went out and saw nothing,

about 10mins later it went off again, just had a look thru the door spyhole, again nothing, went of again had a look thru the peep hole again and saw his van getting pushed by 3guys.

he just thru out the front door punched on in the neck kick another up the ass before they pushed him and ran, problem was he couldnt chase cause the van was rolling back towards the garrage got it stopped in about 5ft. the guys ran down the street in a waiting car and took off. bloody unreal some people.

Across the road my neighbours car got stolen with out a sound before 12am, cause he came knocking around 11.30pm.

about 6months ago, next door got his wallet stolen out of his glove box, (when i had my holden) then came and checked mine ... trusty security light must of scared them, cause i had a dodgy door lock .. u try 4-6times it will open

now with my current car (nissan stagea pearl white s2) had it for a week .. help my missus move to hampton park on hallam road.. only to wake in the morning egg shell and egg all over the side of my car. now when i stay over night .. i take my suzuki ignis ... which blocks my stagea in the driveway over night.

mum's bloody $6k ford gets the garrage ! :S

God damn i hate how that shit works my parents cars get the garage and im stuck with the carport, even though its not on the street still sucks.

Since i have brought my car i have never left it outside. I attempted to once but i couldn't sleep as i was so worried so i put it in :)

im more worried about the plates, cause stageas aint common so it kinda gets left alone.

but the plates, could be some lil smart ass out there who thinks it will be cool to nick them for his uncle's shed or garrage cause he owns a gtr or somthing .... so im looking into hex head screws and bolting all 6on the back then getting a cover .. (note my online nick name) it will save some fool 400bucks but cost me 100.

if it gets key'd just gives me an excuse to get the rusty mirror's fixed .. sure i'll be pissed off cause it will cost more ... but it wont cost me double if i do the mirror's then some idiot key's it ... they normally only do one car once and leave the area

I never leave my car outside for a long period of time, unless im outside with it, Always in garage.

BTW Kevin sorry mate we didnt catch up the other weekend bin flat stick with work etc. Have you come across a window yet? Will have to catch up some time soon, this weekend is looking like ill be free so should catch up

Good old western suburbs unless ur car is in a garage, your a goose to think nothings going to happen to it because there is too many dumb kids running around wrecking peoples cars with no respect for anyone. Although shit turns around quick when they get there cars karma will hopefully bite them in the ass alot worse

I've had my pearl white stagea for 9 months and nothing (yet) has happen to it - My dad's commonwhore gets the garage and i'm parked behind it.

I live in Gladstone Park and nothing much happens where i live and we're got alot of worked up cars around the area. Of course I have the mean streets of Broadmeadows next to me.

I love the "the western suburbs is <insert statement here>" because it happens in their own backyard as well no matter where it is.

My ex-gf's car (a RAV4) had its windows smashed out the front of her house and looked around the street and a few cars were smashed (even a brand new Merc E55 that was parked behind a gate and had motion lights) and this is in Hawthorn

Still the best was a guy so dumb enough to try and break into a mates R34 GTR and were sitting out the front porch of the house...

I live in braybrook (dont laugh) and work in Sunshine (hey Tai :( ) and the only thing to happen to my R32GTR is someone stole the tyre valves whilst parked at the back of Westpac bank.

I only was gone from the car 2 minutes top, to use the ATM.

    • I see what you mean on that last paragraph and makes sense. I am leaning towards because I made the repair/filler area large that I didn't use a long enough block. Will minimise the area and let you's know how I go. This is random but I noticed when I put epoxy primer it felt flat but that's just temporary.
    • Tried to repair with filler only. The block is a foam block but quite hard and I put a velcro on it for sandpaper, the hook and loop system. It's not one of those super soft ones that just follow the panel. Similar to a dura block.
    • You need one of those automated sprays that puffs a nice small every 15 minutes in their room. Except swap the nice smell for chloroform...
    • Don't step down power supply size, maintain it the whole way. It's how I'd do it. OR, Id have one feed, with one joint that splits out to six smaller gauge wires that go to each coil. I wouldn't add joins like stepping from 12 to 16, at the first two coils, as if you try to continue that fashion, each joint will introduce a voltage drop. In theory, earths should be the same size as power feeds, however in this case the main power needs to be bigger due to the average size current. So the next question is, how much current do these coils actually need?
    • I think Murray is onto it. It's sounding like either it's a soft block, not long enough block, OR if you're chasing waves, you're going in the direction of the waves, instead of across them. Rotate your sanding pattern by 45 degrees is something to try. You said you're going in an X, so now instead, from the same perspective, do a "t" instead.   If you're not able to have the block sit on top of two high points, and not touch the low point between them, you'll never get it flat.
